I'm super proud to present you my latest game, first episode of a serie called Venona Project.

This game present a different approach to erotic games - it has element of true adventure game with object interaction, dialogues and character movement.

I just started playing it, and I'll post more when I'm finished but I do have a few thoughts...

First, the game looks beautiful as always Leon.

There are a few problems with moving the character, he gets stuck on edges, the "tank" controls are a little awkward, but you can get used to them. It would be nice if you could click on the room and the player would move towards where you clicked. Also tool-tips naming the various objects in the room would be welcomed as well.

Doing a fade-to-black every time you examine something is kinda annoying. Also, he takes a bath with his shirt on!? :p

Right-Mouse clicking on the game, broke the control mechanics, and without being able to interact with anything I had to restart.

character control is an issue for me as well,however i do not necessarily agree with pure mouse control.I think he is far too slow to start moving,meaning if you get stuck it takes a while to get moving again,if he moved faster it would be a lot better imo
the fade to black can be annoying,however it is not a big issue
as usual the graphics are great,where the story goes from here is beyond me,its more political instead of sexual...Sure the name should be dan brown? :P
sound would be nice,but overall a good game,hope to see more

ps:is kelly gone now or just put on the back burner for this project?

At least when you turn the computer on, some music should play and either loop, or fade out.

The same goes with looking at Julia's picture on the cellphone; The player should see a picture. And a single guy living on his own has two beds? And why does he need to take a bath in one room and brush his teeth in another? It's the little things like these that need some attention.

I know English isn't your first language, but it's "Hello" not "Hallo"

When explaining the drawings to Julia, the dialogue box isn't large enough to display all the text.

Buttons and indicators would be nice, especially for the dialogue scene with Julia so the player can know how to end the conversation, and the sex scenes so the player knows where to move their cursor.

BTW, I may not know much about woman... but when they take their shirts off and expose their breasts, and then ask you to come to bed... I don't think they're interested in you stroking their arm...

With regards to gameplay... it's really just more of the same. I think that Jordan500 even with all it's faults was a much better game than this.

As to the story... well, I guess I'll have to wait and see what the next episode brings.

You do good work Leon, and I do look forward to your next adventure, I was just hoping for more of an evolution with this game compared to your previous works.

On a side note: I've not been able to get the playforceone.com login to work in a long time.

good graphics as usual....game play is alright...i agree with cheese101 about how slow the guy is when try to move him after getting caught on something...i also agree with Graen about actually having a pic of Julia and maybe some sort of music when you turn it on...your first episode is very short for one of your games...i am very interested in seeing where this story goes...keep up[ the good work...

@Graen-i have had no problem logging into PF1 myself...

With two different browsers it surely isn't a settings issue. I'd check for mal/spyware.

Graphics are excellent as usual, cant say I have more to add that's not already been said, 'ex: movement is an issue a times, fade-to-black is somewhat annoying'
Game as potential but wonder whats to come in second episode ?

I have to agree with what others have said about the controls. What exactly do they add to the game? Other than making it slower and more annoying to play.

I don't think we really need to fade out to a picture Kyle every time we examine something, a picture of what he's examining would make a lot more sense.

As far as the gameplay goes, it makes a nice change to have a top down view and be able to examine things. However, the problem is that it's not very interesting. There's no challenge and no choices for the player to make. You just methodically move (slowly) around the apartment, as it's generally spelled out very clearly what you're supposed to do next. I hope that the later episodes will add some interactivity, as that's what an adventure game is about to me.

I'll reserve judgment on the story, as it barely makes an appearance until the end. The writing is a definite improvement on previous games, although some of the dialogue falls completely flat. "Violate me with your monstrous cock" for example. I did laugh when the male agent asked if Julia was with me though. No, there's just a random naked girl in my apartment.

On the plus side, it looks very good. I didn't find either of the female characters particularly attractive, but I think that's just my personal taste. Julia could grow on me though, especially if she receives more characterisation. We don't really find out much about her during the game, but then Kyle doesn't even know what her last name is.

It's a promising start, but I think if you want to do something more like an adventure game you need to focus more on story, character and interactivity.
