I am working on new events while waiting for feedback and forgot to shut that part off for the bug fix.

You are done when the task list says you are as there is no more content you can access at this time.

When you get to the choice in each path, that marks the end of their major story points. They might still show up in other paths or have minor content but nothing to aim for as such. The choice will affect future content in some small way. A few will be visible in this game but the majority will affect game 2 and 3.

Weekend Developer Update - Lore edition

Hello all
I am not at my computer over the weekend so wanted to write the weekly update a bit early.

We seem to be over the worst issues with 0.55 and I am fully focused on the next big content push.

Current aditions to the next release. (Late May).
10 new events.
2 new scenes.

Since this a going to be the buildup to the endgame there will be more main storyline and lore additions then in any of the earlier releases.
Overall progress is good. Design is almost finished with every event and scene planned out. Having completed the design puzzle the only things left are the somewhat easier (but time consuming) steps of implementation, coding and testing.

Ohhh okay, thanks for the clarification. Looks like I finished Morgan as well, then. Cool, looking forward to future updates.

Also, do you have any plans to insert original artwork into the game in place of the real photos and fakes? I think The Klub has a multitude of mods that have real celebrity skins that look really close to the actual actresses so even if you just used that in lieu of creating original artwork in DAZ 3D and Poser or Blender or Maya I think it would still come off really well.

Plans regarding orginal art are in place.
The trilogy as it stands now will be made with photos. Main reason is my ability to work with these right now and keep a similar style all the way through.
That this also allows the games to be slightly different then a large amount of other erotic work on this and other forums/sites is a plus in my book.
There are 100+ good 3d and 1000+ hentai games out there and only a few using real photos, stuff like Sister Attraction and The Last Man.

Once the 3 games are content complete I have mentioned the idea that I might return for a revisit to each title for a "gold" edition.
I have been looking into klub 17 (Okay but not great) and the more advanced 3d modelling and posing software and am in the progress of learning to use them.
The gold edition could contain a complete 3d image conversion if enough players would find this interesting.

It would be a pretty large task and one of my stretch goals for support is hiring artists for artwork for this project to supplement what I can produce on my own.
I am a fan of both 2d, 3d and RL models so if this becomes a possiblity I would be happy to give it a go.

But first these games have to turn out somewhat entertaining and have a playerbase large enough for that.

The reason some prefer own made models to photos are: 1. No limit to pictures, you can make them do what you want them do do. No need to hope there is a picture of 2 girls you have in game, as you can create it yourself. 2. Copyright. But copyright only matters if you get paid for your game. Do realize that due to you using some celebs for your pics, even if some are fake pics, that it can also be seen as a violation of copyright or slander.

Also you mentioned the player-base, if you would change from photos to 3d models, that could potentially lead to angry fans. people don't like change. But if your fanbase would become big enough, you might get those problems with copyright. So it's a thing to think about.

Hiring artists? You could just ask if someone is interested in working together with you here on the Lagoon. There might be a starting artist out there, that is terrible at coding and/or stories. But still wants to gain some exposure and experience in creating images. Think of the possibilities, do you know a pictures where the model for Frey and Celeste actually are doing stuff. With 3d or 2d modeling (i would go 3d) you can have that image and the player could just walk in on them. Yes all those pics would be a pain and with pics it takes more work, but things that are made by own hand, mostly gain better exposure then a photo anyway. At least in my opinion.

Edit: Ps, i'd like the game both ways. Just think about it.

You are right on all points.
Copyright vs. flexibilty. If I get a desist request from any of the models or firms owning any of the pictures I am ready to replace a model, 3d would make some things easier but would add a lot of production time. We are talking about at this point in time 300-400 pictures already. So something would have to change in design to fit that in.

I have selected the current models after making sure they have the pictures available for the scenes I wanted for each story.
If I get to the end of the trilogy without being sued and at that time it would make sense to make a 3d conversion it would be an option in the game. There is no reason to delete the photo version. So it would either be a 3d version or the option for selecting photo/3d would be added to the game.
I would not want to anger any of the hard earned fans with a bait and switch in style.

Regarding artists here. That is very much something I would be looking into.
But again that is not something I would do at this time since I want to focus on completing the game first.
I wouldn't want to recruit an artist to let them wait in limbo for months/years.
Same can be said for translations as the first suggestion has arrived for that as well.

Or you could start with that artist for making those images already, while you complete the game and start on the next versions. That way you have a completed game, no waiting for the artist and no pressure of a deadline for him on finishing (yet). Eventually he might even catch up to the stories in your trilogy. Just a idea.

I agree about the artist thing. There are a lot of aspiring artists out there that would love to make games but don't know how to code well enough and vice versa, coders out there that aren't familiar with computer art. As such, while I understand it would be immensely satisfying to create a game of your own from scratch with your own art, it also isn't a bad idea to find an artist wanting to cut their teeth on making games by bringing them on board to create art for your game. That way you both can work towards creating a great game together and at the same time help each other out with learning more about each other's craft (a shining example would be Tlaero & Mortze's working relationship).

Regardless, I'll be looking forward to your finished game either way, but I am a fan of original art over the use of re-purposed real-life pictures and/or fakes, and so I'll wear my desires on my sleeve.
