I'll have to check again, but I don't think getting started with Scruffy by buying the laptop comes up in the task list. Maybe it does after you get the 'employment' picture show from Celeste, where she tells you Scruffy can upgrade your room, if you haven't already bought it. Anyway, after buying/placing the laptop, 'use the laptop' came up in the task list. After using it the first time, nothing in the task list indicated you should continue to do so until after using the laptop a second time. Then, continuing to use the laptop shows up in the task list at least up to and through the first Frey 'porn reward'.

I'll download the new beta and start over when I get a chance. BTW, it took me a couple reads to find the 'check display' command. Maybe you should add something to the badge description about badge features that you currently have unlocked, like check display and upload pictures, etc?

There is an event that pushes players to talk about getting a computer. This is time delayed a couple of game days so you won't get the event if you ask around on your own. This should show up in the task list.
The gap from the first use of laptop and continued use of laptop is a off by 1 bug and will be fixed.

The task list is introduced during the Celeste work intro and listed in the help file.
"task list", "check display", "quest list" are some the usable commands for it.

Good idea about badge info. Will look into that.

Hi, first off I just wanted to say that I love the game, the new build is really great!

I am not sure if I am experiencing a bug. The only task I have is to find someone to decipher the note, and I accidentally picked up the tome after I finished researching it and now I am carrying it around and cannot place it back in my room.

I do not think I am done with content. Pretty sure I need to do something more with Morgan so I can proceed with Zoe, but I am at a loss. I do not know what to do with the note, and I have gone to every room for every hour in the day and no events are happening.

You should be able to use the adrift "put" command to place the tome on the desk again.

Regarding stuff to do.

You should have a bunch of stuff to do with Morgan. Try going to the restaurant at 16.
Completing her path and the stuff you are missing with the tome should guide you towards the rest.

Ok, I haven´t and I done this now after the display I am at the end.

I think you haven´t understand it what I mean with Lara. I thought I tell Zoe that she can meet Lara (she is a fan from here) and I get a reward from Zoe so I see nothing like this.

Weekend Developer Update - Roadmap edition

Hello all
Now that we have crossed the halfway point for the first game and some of you have completed the content, I wanted to give an update on the near future.

Himeros Hotel Roadmap
Soon:
Any patches needed for 0.55 based on feedback from playtests.

Est. end of May:
Release of Beta 0.75 - Larger content push to move the story towards the climax.
The date is a guess and can fluctuate based on real life as this is still only my spare time project.

Summer:
Release of Beta 0.99 - Largest content push to finish of the story in a big way.
Date is very loose as I really want to do a the last quarter of the game in one go to give the players a solid ending with all the surprises.
This will most likely take 2 months after the release of 0.75.

Based on feedback from you guys and the other testers out there I will do a couple of rounds of polish to add the last flavor and easy of use additions before pushing out the final (for now) 1.00 version.

Summer-Fall:
Design, planning and code base for Game 2. First playable release late Fall.

That is the plan. Best guess and all that.

The last event with Zoe (boobjob) is the reward for helping Lara. You don't see the event but Zoe says that Lara came by the reception with gifts for her.
If you are talking about the last event with Lara and the reward hinted at there. That is not implemented yet and is in the game for the next release.
I could add a text to Zoe about that to make it clearer. My bad.

Let me check the number. Still missing a bit.

You seem to have been in a fight. Try going back to the alley at the time when Rain is normally there.
This should open the last couple events you are missing.
The task list will note when you are done. If it is empty you are missing something. Most likely find an event somewhere.
