Am putting in some hours right now. Really want the game to be as playable as possible before we hit the holidays. Remove all the kinks so to speak. Don't want to go afk for days with a game that is broken and makes gamers sad this time of year
When all that craziness is done with I will start to go for completing a path at a time in the new year.
Adding conversations, events, scenes, cross links that are connected to the next girl on the list.

I am currently adding the introductions of the missing 4 girls so you guys can see who will be added over time. Should be ready for the next bug fix release.

on that complete girl thing, am i wrong to assume that Gem is complete right now and we won't see any additions to her in the future? If thats the case i do not know if its wise to focus on 1 girl at a time (also for conflicting reasons later). And maybe move them all up at the same pace. Again i could be wrong about what you mean by "completing"

I will think about spreading the progress out if people prefer that.
My thought was adding almost complete paths would be more like chapters and easier to find interest in for players as they are added. That might not be the case.

Your right about the interest part, seeing full scenes will help maintain interest. And it means i was wrong in assumption i thought Nothing would be done for Gem in the future anymore and for the girl you are currently working on. Thing is i am worried about, you keep progressing on development and their could be conflicts errors like specially if certain elements of the game are needed to progress further like example girl Y scene + girl X to get scene XY.

Next while i love playing new versions, pace yourself game is long way from completion if you keep putting out new versions every other day at some point people expect another version every other day. That will burn the player out in playing and will burn you out cause you are feeling rushed to put out a new version each time.

You are right about burnout. Things will change once more bugs are removed. Just doing these close bug fixes for the alpha. Once I think it is "good enough", I will change to beta releases with much larger amounts of content but also a lot longer between releases. Weeks (Months). The current structure was only intended to make sure the "engine" is working and I understand Adrift enough. All the feedback so far has been pure gold for my understanding and I have learned more over the last week then the month before.

I hope I have an idea of the overall layout of the story. Regarding girl x linking to y stuff and back. I have 4 pages of story notes and 6 excel sheets with character connections, timelines, scene breakdowns etc. But some of the connections are so tricky that I can't do one girl at a time all the way. But should be safe for the next couple at least

Missing addition to patchnote. All multipage events have a key press stop.

Small corrections to hints about Camera and boss path.

0.12 completely changed how this is handled. No longer bought on the internet.
Gems path will lead into it with more direct hints. (Will make a test run myself to make sure I didn't break it. Be back later.)

Celestes path ends right now after unlocking room upgrades. Will add a warning to her path about this.

VERY ANNOYING BUG IN GEMS PATH.

Zoe will offer the lotion task as soon as you know about gem.
But you are not allowed to take the lotion before you have reached a certain level of lounge cooking.
I am sorry for the confusion. Is fixed for next release.

2. Bug in Gem path. Path blocked at camera.

Well bugger me. Changing the camera task did cause an infamous "off by 1" error. Celeste is being waaay too bitchy.
I will correct this and push out a new release shortly (Within the next hours). Sorry for any time you have wasted trying to get past that.

Adrift note. I am getting some weird picture issues. All pictures are set to keep aspect and stretch to window. But this does seem to be hit and miss in the runner. Will have to look into that.

Added Alpha 0.15 to the front page.
Fix for what I broke in 0.12. Sorry dudes and dudettes.
The missing 3 girls where ready to go so they are there as well. Bonus.

If nothing major breaks in this then more focus on minor fixes, spelling and adding lacking stuff like conversations in the next release. Might be the last one before Christmas (and Star Wars) hits me like a ton of bricks.

I'm curious to see the game when you have add more "complete" girls, so to see better where you want to go and I suspect that girl like Celeste won't be scenes complete until the end, because are probably more tied to the central story.
I don't know if it would be a good idea insert missble events, your game seem so vast that couldn't be good, probably it's a thing you have decide only at the very end of the production.

Your guess about Celeste is right. She is a lot more linked to overall stuff then Gem is. The more involved a girl is the more scenes are planed as well. So some of them will have 10+ scenes where Gem has a small handful.

Regarding missable events. I am still thinking about that and as it stands there will be no missable scenes (sex events). I did mention that time might become an issue for side stuff but this is not set in stone at the moment. If I do something it might be slight changes in rpg stuff and not story stuff. Like a promotion being pushed back for example. You will still get it, but maybe not as soon as you could have.
There will be some very minor story stuff that you might not see in one playthrough as there are plans for branching choices. Something that will not change the overall story but will effect the world going forward and change the flavor in game 2 and 3.
Think Mass Effect but a lot smaller and with actual sex scenes

i got even a weirder issue going on at the moment Setzworks. My Avast has flagged 0.15 as a trojan each time i try to run it. Didn't happen to previous versions. I do trust its nothing and set the path as being safe, but it could be a problem.

Ok that is weird. Avast can do that, but weird that you did not get that on the last versions as the adrift runner in the standalone should be the same. Unless some line of code in my part of it looks virus like. Strange stuff.
But yes they should be as safe as any Adrift game. Nothing has changed on my end.

If needed the blorb version should not do that. But then again you would have to install Adrift5 that most likely would.

On the most used virus database Adrift is listed to have virus positives in 5 out of 54 anti virus software. This in my mind points more towards a false positive then an actual threat. If there was a virus the others would be quick to list it as well. It is also listed as being for example Trojan ( 700000121 ) and HEUR:Trojan.Win32.Generic. Both of these are generic terms that a line of code looks like a trojan but it does not have a name or any info about what it does.

I hope it gets fixed soon. Really annoying when you are only trying to push your porn to the players
