Here is an early Elsa concept, just before I got a synopsis of the story.

Image

After that, without knowing much of the story I added the nerdy Elsa. I only knew there would be 2 paths, but nothing about them and made a well behaved Elsa and a not so behaved alter-ego

Here is the first concept of Chloe I did. Didn't liked it so much. Found no cutness in her.

Here, I found some of the cutness mask I was looking for.

Mortze, you should post the first picture you sent me (the one with Elsa at the bar). This game wouldn't exist if not for that picture...

Re the game play discussion. Folks, let me say it again, the game play discussion is in scope and appropriate. Don't feel bad about posting your opinions on it. It's fundamentally similar to discussions about the story, the characters, and the artwork. All of those things are appropriate here too. Remember the GtkC thread? There were like 30 posts about Christine's inner psyche. And I liked them. (-:

Re Chloe. Mortze, let's think about this. Chloe won't be a part of the story again for a while (though she will be back). And I don't think fancy mechanics would work in a long story game, but would be fine in an Akina-style game. Maybe we should do a short, story-free/story-light, all game play mechanics, sex game with Chloe. I could do my homage to Akina, but with Chloe instead. Beware, though, it's a ton of images.

Right, here it is. The one that sold me to Tlaero :)

Mmm, I am not sure about that. Doesn't seem right to me to use Chloe to test some mechanics. She is a quite complex and interesting character to simply put her in a pure sex scene game without much of a story. I'd prefer to render her in a story, be it in her part of her story as you planed it, or something like a flashback of her some years ago before all this.

@ everyone :)
If anyone thought I was being critical or complaining about DwE or any other game written by Tlaero, you are way off base. She asked me about my idea of my preferred game mechanic, FOR MY GAMES, and so I told her. Then she said it might not work in her style of game, and I considered, and mostly agreed but outlined situations in which I thought it could. There are no complaints here, and no criticism: I love Tlaero's games, and I love what Tlaeor and Mortze have produced as a team.

@ Redle and also @ Mortze
I understand what you are saying, but my idea would not be as demanding as you are imagining, I don't think. Part of the reason why would be because it is the actual movements in the sex, the focus of your visual attention regardless of whether you are interacting or not, that the mechanic asks you to pay attention to. I mean, you could make the optimum path as wide (as easy) as you want, it absolutely does not have to distract you from being able to enjoy the scene: it is the scene. But maybe I didn't explain it well enough, and I probably shouldn't try again in this thread. Maybe some other time, in the projects thread, we can discuss further. Oh yeah, but one other point to that, I don't think the argument about how the points work in Tlaero's collection of games is really an argument against having points awarded during sex: it's easy to adjust/calibrate the point thresholds for advancing to take into account points awarded during sex scenes.

@ Mortze
I want to please both the Greeks and the Trojans. :) Especially their women...
And I believe I know the football manager you are talking about, and if I'm right, that means we live in the same country (though I am an ex-patriot originally from Canada).

This game is fantastic. I made an account just to express how much I liked it. The writing was engaging, the rendering and sex were both hot, and the gameplay was neither trivial nor frustrating.

Time to work my way through your other games!

I very much prefer the other one stated by a great football (I absolutely refuse calling it soccer) player:
My preferred seafood is lupins... :D

Piling on... An excellent game. The writing was on par with Tiaero's other games. The artwork is truly phenomenal. I've successfully completed all three paths and all the achievements, but will definitely replay just to return to certain visuals.

Although both the romantic and sexual paths were not very difficult to follow, it took some effort to keep on the confusing path. Thanks for the reward at the end of that one (and the reward for all 12 achievements).

Elsa is such a knockout, and both canon paths for her are written so well revealing her confidence in different ways in each path.

All praises to Tlaero and Mortze for developing this fascinating game.

While I am somewhat familiar with the great games Tlaero released the last years, Dreaming with Elsa had an special impact on me. Virtual Date with Keeley was my favourite until the last days (also as the uprated Meeting Keeley version), but Dreaming with Elsa outran Keeley easily.

I have not yet found out what exactly made me so impressed. Both the story and the characters show great depths rarely found in such games, which is further beefed up by Mortze's excellent pictures. In my eyes, the models Mortze used are a vast improvement over the earlier ones found in the other games. The details, such as mimics and gestures of the characters in the pictures combined with the lightning and backgrounds actually created an intriguing atmosphere.

I hope that Tlaero and Mortze will continue to work together and I am already looking forward for any fruits of this cooperation - which hopefully will allow us humble players to explore more of the universe of Elsa & Co.

Absolutely! Close runners-up: Chloe's freckles & sleeve. I'm a sucker for great sleeves...and freckles.

I was floored by the images in this game. The first thing I said when I started the game was, "Holy hell, she kept this artist a secret?!" Mortze, I salute you.

Tlaero, I always look forward to your games. Between you, Ariane, Wolfschadowe, and sportd, I will not run out of games to play again and again anytime soon.

Sorry for the late reply but its never too late to complement the master Tlaero. Awesome game as always, first game that I have played from start to finish and doing all achievements without stopping in a long time (and thats saying something given how big this game was).

What do I say about Mortze wow. All I can say is that image sex94.jpg is the hottest thing I have seen in a long time, wow wow and more wow (the rest of the imagery is pretty good too ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

As always I eagerly await the next instalment and offer up nothing but the greatest of thanks for producing such great work.

I like the game. Tlaero, you're getting better and better with every release.

As for Mortze's art... Wow. It's hands-down the best quality 3D renders I have ever seen (save for recent movie releases). That includes the eyes -- again, first time I saw them being this realistic. Not lifeless and spotless pool balls, but real eyes.
It's unbelievable. Mortze, for a first release, you blow away literally everything I've seen -- this is better than Brad's Erotic Week (at least original renders, the new ones have potential to be as good as yours, maybe), it's better than all LOP and S&G releases (and those are paid games).
The renders are great already, but another area where you shine is models -- the range of emotions is simply fantastic. And yours are probably the first natural images of kissing -- none of the awkwardness or outright weirdness of some poses I've seen.
However, and it's a big one, but it's not really your fault* -- you overdid compression. It's simply set way too high and it destroyed a lot of fine detail (especially hair) and made outlines fuzzy. It's especially visible in high-color images, where chroma subsampling really takes its toll.
I don't know if there's any chance of it, but I'd love it if you offered a separate download with compression dialed back.

*) You're not the first to overdo compression. Recent LoP releases are even worse offenders, they're applying sloppy compression to sprites and blocking is clearly visible. I guess this is the result of people not wanting to "download" the game (although loading a flash game is effectively downloading it, not just once, but every time you want to play), and they don't want to wait, expecting instant gratification. I realize that most people don't notice this, or don't see it as a big problem, but I can't be alone, can I?

That, I believe, was a necessity, to make possible for everybody to download the game. Without the compression the game would have been to big. I guess Tlaero can explain it better than I and also pronounce on the separate dowload without compression.

So is this going on playforceone soon? I've been anticipating it finally being the one to score higher than Christine :p

Also, can I ask if you've begun planning your second collab together yet? At Mortze's speed, you could probably do something bigger in a similar stretch of time, or are you thinking more at a scale similar to Elsa?
