The game is pretty good. It has a nice flowing narrative that tells the tale combined with a good set of images. There were a few scattered errors in the text, but there didn't seem to be many (the first one that comes to mind is in the intro, "It was really cliche really." Although this was being said by the main character, so I suppose it could be intentional as him stumbling over his own tongue).

Bugs:

The bugs tended to have the feel of Adrift errors, rather than game errors. Several times I ran into trouble with the various menus. Choosing menu items on the phone kept launching computer commands until I went to the computer and turned it off. At end-game, the computer often would show the end-game menu, but it would react as though I was on the e-mail/web/facebook menu. Sometimes choosing 'use pc' or 'use computer' wouldn't even give me any menu, but say it didn't understand what I wanted to do (or some other error, don't recall the specific message). It took many many tries of turning phone and computer on and off before the menu displayed and interaction performed finally let me actually complete the game (no clue how I got past it, only that I did eventually).

Oh, non-adrift bug: I'll mention that the phone texts weren't listed chronologically (and I'm not sure that the timestamps were correctly matched with the appropriate messages. If I were to guess, I would say that the messages actually are chronological. If only they had the correct timestamps, everything would be fine).

Biggest flaw:

The word "stuff" is just plain nasty. Down at the lake Emily makes a response where that word is italicized. If it were an optional part of the game, I wouldn't have a problem with this. The problem here is that it's an absolutely mandatory part of the game to move forward. In addition to it being mandatory, it is never repeated. So, once she makes her comment, the player goes on speaking with her and trying various things out (because trying things is how the game is played). Finally the player says to himself, okay, guess I'm done talking and doing the things I wanted, let us progress the game. The problem is, at this point nothing works. Try to leave the area... "Emily clearly wanted to talk, so leaving now was definitely not a good idea." Talk to Emily... "She just smiled and looked at me." What?! I can't leave because she wants to talk, but I can't talk because she has nothing to say? The player can start trying anything and everything imaginable, but luckily remembering that magic word "stuff" or looking it up in a cheat is the only way he's going to be able to continue playing. Most likely it's quit or cheat.

Maybe there's another way around that spot, but I never found it (I made it past that point the first time, but on my second playthrough when I was looking around more, I became impossibly stuck here). Anything mandatory needs to either be reasonably guessable or continually available until completed. As it stands now, this is a game killer. At a minimum, the italic word "stuff" needs to be repeated every time the player talks to Emily until they use that word (or some other way of rediscovering the code-word which is completely generic and unguessable).

This is pretty much a repeat of the Demo's problem with 'do something'. That one was fixed by allowing the player to instead ask about a movie to accomplish the same task. Movie was a reasonable code-word for players to find (and continually available).

Other items that lessened my enjoyment:

The ending was a big letdown for me. Yes, I realize that this was a tale of Emily. From that aspect the game made good. That being said, the game started out with Victoria, and the player keeps going back to that conversation and learning a bit more in that regard. The problem is, there's never any interaction there. The game builds up that expectation, but then never delivers. To me it made the game feel much more like a demo, or a Chapter 1 if you will. If Victoria had just been left as some random person whom is now being told this tale, it would have simply been an interesting way and reason to tell it. Yes, cliffhangers and potential sequels are all well and good, but too much time was spent on it to never give anything back.

I found it odd that in talking with Victoria I told her that I often massaged Emily and even went so far as to describe the order of massage progression, but when trying to do exactly the thing I claim I do all the time, the game replies... no, I couldn't possibly do that. The consequences might be terrible... (I realize there is a way to 'get' to do it. But the game shouldn't tell me it's easy to do it and then prevent me from doing it)

The jogger... as far as I'm able to tell, in the current game incarnation she has no business being included at all. She has nothing to do with the current plot. Unlike the general feel of the rest of the game, the interaction is highly implausible at best. She doesn't even have any pictures, so it isn't like she's added for random extra eye-candy. Maybe she affects the game in some way I haven't yet found. Maybe she's there because of some planned add-on or sequel. Personally, I'd prefer to see her removed until there's actually a need for her to be there. She makes the game slightly longer, but, other than that, she does nothing but detract from the story and the quality of the game.

Anyway, not complaining. It takes a lot of time and effort to make a game. A good job was done on this one. The above are just my opinions on some edits that I think would make it even better.
