I do commend Serge though for using ADRIFT 4.0 to open a ADRIFT 3.9 file. That way, you don't need to worry about the preset ADRIFT 4.0 limits when it comes to writing games. Very clever

Handling incorrect responses is just as important as making sure the correct response works. I also feel some of your hints as to what to do next could have been made more subtil. The 2 sets of pics you had for Tara and Denise worked fine for me. Is there a way to keep from having to type a phrase like "keep looking" over and over to view the pics?

Sorry but it is my first Adrift game.
I've tried a long time ago to do a game in french but Adrift is not compatible with other language than english

So I write this one in my poor english (Better say : I overwrite THK's game)

1/ The command is : "reach underwear with hook". (you have to get hook before)
Of course with that command you take panties and bra. You need to put the bra away (in an other room) if you you don't want to have yours hands full.

2/ Have an other drink : in this task the action is move chante to first floor hall
after this command : the commands are :
South (chante is here but if you ask something to chante the answer is that she's full asleep; I'll correct that - but for the moment you don't need to speak with her, do you?)
sneak a peek under chante's dress
Keep looking (4 times) In the last keep looking : The action is move chante to upstairs hall, so :
up
wait The action is move chante to chante's room
east

3/ I don't know why "get green panties with hook" give a message like "you can't see dennis from here"
I'll try to find what's the mistake.

4/ Some items (specialy in the room I've added to the original game) are not describe in Adrift ( for exemple chairs, table and cupboard in basementt dinning room)
so command like x table or x chairs doen't work. I have to add that but you don't need that for the game. The answers will be : Nothing special.


You don't need to type the same phrase every time, just use the arrows of your keyboard.

Serge - I tried "reach underware with hook" and got no where as it "doesn't understand what I want to do with the hook". I also went to the hallway where I'm told to "sneak a peek under Chante's dress" and even though she is there that command is not working either. I get a "I don't understand what you mean" message. I tried both of these using Adrift 4.0 on a game I had previously saved. Perhaps the fact that I had tried, and failed, before using similar/same commands had some effect? I'll try again with a new game.
I just started over and was able to look under Chante's dress this time. I think the problem was when get another drink was typed you had to use "an other" (two words) instead of the correct "another" (one word). I still could not get the underware from Wally's room with the hook. I peeked in his room then went to get the hook. Came back and could not get the command to work. Perhaps if I got the hook before peeking in his room it would have worked but that doesn't make sense. You have no use for the hook until seeing the underware on the floor. I also can't get panties from Tara. Your "x gage" command is not working for me either. It says I have 0 of 9 panties when I'm carrying 4 plus a thong. You have several spelling errors in your dialog that could be easily corrected.

Sorry about my poor schoolar english. When you says easily corrected it's not so easy for me.
Did you tape underware or underwear ? The only restriction is player have to carry the long hook (of course).
May be you carry too much object, 9 is the max.You have to put some objects in one place before getting the others.

About "x gage" i don't know where is the mistake. I've tried many times and all is OK for me.

May be my Adrift 4.0 version is not the the same as yours.

For an other / another, I find 2 words spelling in a old dictionnary (a book...paper book) but on the web I find 1 word spelling.

If you find some other mistakes like that i'll correct my game.

Serge -I have finally got the underwear from Tara and Denise. I now have a white thong and 7 panties (striped, green, yellow, red, blue, pink, black). That is 8 total (x gage is telling me I have 2 of 9). Any hints on where I get the ninth pair and what color it will be?
I've enjoyed your work on this game. With a few corrections it will be really nice and there is still more you can do with characters and objects that haven't been fully used.

The last panties is flowered. If you get the full sex scene with wally and denise it is easy to find it. But having the full sex scene is harder. Only one word to help : curtains

Another thing (one word for another) I think I khnow why x gage doesn't work : you have to take panties not get panties or other words. I'll correct that in the new version.

Serge - I've played the game with the curtains in Wally's room both opened and closed but I can't seem to get the xtra sex sceen that provides the flowered panties. I thought maybe I should get my coat and go outside. But I can't get my coat as it keeps telling me it is too heavy even though I dropped everything in other rooms and am currently carrying nothing. I can't go out the kitchen door or front door and I can see nothing new peeking into wally's room. HELP! I have been able to "get my coat" in some previous attempts but not in this opened curtains game.
Also getting the yellow bra is a problem as I have to use "get yellow bra bra" for it to work (double bra?). I forgot to say "take" instead of "get" on 1 bra (red) but it is still giving me credit for only 5 of 9 on "x gage" when I actually have 8. I said reach or take on the other 7.

If you open the curtains in wally's room you can have the sex scene fron the basement kitchen (through the window)but only if you have already reach denise's underwear.

Then the flowered panties will be in the laundry machine.

But if the variable "gage" is not up to 9 you can't have the last sex scene with Nicole. For the variable "gage", bra(s) are not count, only panties (or thong).

I've tried "get yellow bra bra" and it doen't work , but "take yellow bra (or panties)" is OK.

The variable is going up each time you say "take xxx panties" except with the hook, there you have to say reach underwear....and then take away the bra(s) you don't need.

Serge - I didn't know the Kitchen existed north of the dining area. There needs to be a note of it being there in the dining room descrïption. All that is mentioed is table, chairs, and cupboard. I got the flowered panties and now have all 9 but (as you said) since "x gage" is only giving me credit for 6 of 9 I can't get Nicole. In a few days I'll have time to restart and will try to be sure to "take or reach" all 9 instead of using "get".
Thanks for all your help and be sure to post your final version of this game for download. I really enjoyed both your game and thk's original game. Both of you put in a lot of time and it is much appreciated.
I'm not a game maker so I don't know how much work is involved but I'm sure it is massive. If it is possible to make multiple verbs work in a command you might want to make both "take" and "get" useable. You could also add "move" to "slip" - "touch", "pinch", and "rub" to "grope" - "remove" to "take off". By doing that you would not have to spell out the next command so often.

Serge - I tried your game from scratch again today being sure to "take" the panties instead of "get" them. I did "x gage" after each one to be sure they registered. I was able to "reach" or "take" all 9 pairs but still only received credit for 7 of 9 (therefore no scene with Nicole). The 2 that did not register were the striped and yellow ones in Denise's bedstand drawers. I even put them back in the drawers and took them a second time in an attempt to get them to register. If order that you take them makes a difference (and it shouldn't), I took them before peeking on Cody and taking the green panties. I will give up on this for now until you release a corrected version. I've had fun playing your game except for not being able to get the last scenes.

Be careful if you take flowery panties i't's doesn't work. Say take flowered panties

Blue panties : Where do tou think Nicole put them after shower ???
