I'm new to this board, but I've been 'lurking' around for a long time here. Previously I've just been reading tutorials, experiences and tips in game-play, and browsing through stuff.
Anyway, a thread in "Projects" caught my eye as I've been doing stuff with DAZ Studio program for some time (and you can check out the pic's at my flickr-site). So, I decided to register.
I hope to contribute to this site as well as I can.
And how come I ended up here?
It all started with ArianeB's dating Sim. I read about Poser, and getting knowledge about Poser, I also got knowledge about DAZ Studio. The latter is free, while Poser is not. The choice was easy.
Since then I've rendered using DAZ Studio (mostly) various pictures, learning about how to move the camera, the light setup, how to tweak the materials on the human figure to get good results.
For what it is worth, I have also some experience in the Hammer Editor (Valve's world creating kit for the Half Life 2-games, and Counter Strike: Source). But I mostly like to create still pictures and post them on my flickr-site.
If there is anything I can do, I hope my (meager) experience in 3D art can be helpful.
