No, I can't figure out a use for it either. I didn't know you could get the bottle, until you told us. I played SD2 briefly and glanced at those walkthroughs, so I think it was code left over from that game, because I think the sextoy references and some of these other incomplete things we find are in that game (house layout is the same in SD2 as it is in SD3). There is a 'spin' command in SD3, but I haven't found anything to spin, and you can 'throw' things (but always miss). I really wanted to throw the bottle at Gary and hit!
