Oh, I'm not so easily pleased . I think a render like this can benefit greatly from adding an ambient light. I made my own in the shader builder, which also deals with ambient occlusion, but you can also just modify the ambient values of the surfaces. But unless you'd put a model in front of a huge spotlight you would never see such sharp shading in real life.

There is light... it is just... evening sunlight. The sun is setting to her right. But... maybe a little more light would help. I like the position she is in... looks like she is listening to some disco music. 8-) The shorts look like they were... painted on. 8-) The shirt looks like it has a silk sheen to it (and, by it's size and position, you could say it has a charlie sheen to it -- pop culture reference, for those not sure).

Now, were I, in fact, actually dancing with this girl, I am sure I would do everything in my power to get her to start clapping her hands above her head. 8-) And I would be sure to have the music switch to a very SLOW dance when this song ended (Oh, my love, my darling, I hunger for your touch... a long, lonely time. The jean shorts and cropped top are both freebie dynamic clothes - the supplied texture of the top is ... not that good so I 'slapped' on another one, via a shader. Both materials should look thicker to be better, especially the shorts. The lighting I am reasonably happy with, it is supposed to be like that as it is a sunset scene. For quick and dirty renders such as this I generally avoid AO-based stuff as that just slows everything down to a crawl (which negates the 'quick' part of 'quick and dirty'!).
Not sure what you mean by 'never see such sharp shading'.

Now... Ehlanna, not trying to be a critic here, but... there is nothing supporting the position of those handcuffs. She is going to get really tired, really quickly holding her arms in that position for prolonged periods of time. If there was something used to "bolt" the pipe to the wall and, therefore, maintain the position of the cuffs, it would work much better. One could even put a T intersection in the pipes (or you could even make it an H... with a small horizontal pipe connecting the two vertical pipes just below where the handcuffs are). But I go on... 8-)... sorry, but I thought it should be mentioned.

Still, while we're nitpicking, isn't that big stock whip a little OTT for such close quarters -- I'd have thought a nice multi tailed flogger would be more useful to tickle her fancy. Also, maybe she should be showing slight "wear and tear" and dirt smudges at least from being manoeuvred into her constrained state -- anyone would think that she must have been cooperating thoroughly to get into that situation. (What's that? ...Some people do that for fun? ...Oh! Takes all sorts, I guess...)

You lot see a picture of a naked girl hand-cuffed to pipes and ... you start arguing about whether or not those old-style Mk 3 cuffs are anachronistic given the obvious fixtures and fittings ..

Anachronisms? Hey... I am not talking time periods.. 8-) I am just saying there is nothing to hold those cuffs in that specific position. It was just something that kinda jumped out at me. The moment my eyes hit the picture (ok... not the moment, I first admired her physique), I started wondering how the hell those cuffs were holding her arms in that position. In the end, I am just saying that the picture has one flaw to it (I think the whip size is fine... the room is actually fairly big. The camera is close to the wall... the mirror suggests that the far wall is at least 10 feet behind him. Ok, that pillar may crowd him as he swings the whip, but...). If you modify the pipes to give support to keep the handcuffs in that position, the picture is perfect.

As to her cleanliness and lack of marks... HEY.. they just started. 8-)
