Mmm, I think I agree with you, ctunnel, Milly is so much a woman of warm, golden colour nowadays, that the black and white seems inadequate for her - she almost demands the extra vibrancy of colour!

Mind you I'm not quite so sure about the nail varnish being such an arterial blood red - I think something like French nails with a more natural finish would tend to suit her better, even if those nails do match the jewel on the thong.

I think it really depends on what you want to show. Though the makeup of Lucia fits well for black and white this pic would loose I think.

I agree, Craban. Milly seems to have been created to be in color, while Lucia seems created for b&w. It's like the difference between film noir and the string of special effects blockbusters of the last several years. Movies like The Maltese Falcon, Double Indemnity, or Casablanca would not work nearly as well in color, while any of the Star Wars movies would be disasters in b&w.
