Grrrr! I hate depositfiles! Mostly I get a "All downloading slots for you country are full" message or if I do get a slot, the download speed is atrocious and more often than not, the download drops out at the originating end. Why would I pay good money to get a gold account with such a crappy download site?

I made usually good experiences with depositfiles. When "the slots are full" its needs some patiense. There is no need to pay for a gold account!

You are lucky. Almost every time I use depositfiles I encounter some sort of problem. Although RapidShare is sometimes badly maligned, I download quite a lot, and almost never have problems with it. They have brought the wait times down for free users to about 13 minutes per 100 megs which is quite reasonable compared with others.
