There seems to be pleny of stones in the store, enough for the game.
You can avoid taxi rides when you learn one of the spells (teleport). It costs 1 mana point to teleport.

Great game!

2 questions:
1) is there a way to permanently save the game. Everytime I save and exit, I lost my saves :-(
2) is there a way to charm people in public places? I see pictures of Debra Kelly naked, and also the tv station secretary, but when I try and charm them I fail.

Trainer mode: Open the file thing14.htm in any text editor, look for the following lines of code:

if (parent.Score > 9)

parent.AddScore(-10);

and rewrite them this way:

if (parent.Score > 1)


parent.AddScore(-1);

Now Charm costs just 1 point to cast.

Edited because somehow I managed to write the WRONG DAMN NUMBER and not notice it in quite a while... man, 300 years of magical sleep DO have an effect

1) your browser probably deletes cookies on closing, so you'll have to change that setting
2) you need the shielded charm todo that, you get it from the game in the vase

I can't to charm Gina.

Penguin, charming Gina is a process so long that it deserves its own walkthrough. You need to:

- manage to meet (and charm) the Major
- tell her to CLOSE the museum
- go to the museum and get Gina's adress from the security room
- tell the Major to OPEN the museum again
- go to Gina's home and search the bathroom using magic to get a lock of hair (I always get a bug that sends me to the school when casting Pass, I use Firefox back buton to return to the bathroom)
- tell the Major to CLOSE the museum again
- go to the sacred clearing and cast Possess using Gina's hair
- get Gina to her bathroom to remove and hide her protective heriloom (taking her on a pleasant scroll through the city afterwards is optional

Then you have two options:

a) go to her home and charm her
b) tell the Major to OPEN the museum YET again, go to the museum and charm her

Both give you diferent sets of pics.

BTW, you DO need Gina's protective heirloom if you want to rescue Kate later on.

Playing Barbara, I've managed so far to
- get every get-able (is that a word?) spell (I actually checked with a text editor that you CAN'T get the last spell, the words are referenced only in the pic of the magic book)
- reach the end of all the storylines (Tess, Kurdoff, Karen)
- defeat Kurdoff
- rescue Karen
- banish Legion

and yet I don't get any indication that I've finished the game, even though the game states that it CAN be finished. Anyone knows what's left to do?

I tricked Kurdoff into doing the ritual against himself. Got a crystal with him inside and an old box. I can't find anything to do after this.

As far as I can tell, I need to learn to "Possess". How do I go about it? Anyone can give some tips?

To get the possess spell, you get it from the library receptionist (according to outrider's walk through)and it works in the sacred place but you have to have something from the person you want to possess. The sister's rosary lets you possess her, the lock of blonde hair lets you possess the museum guard (close the museum first and make her hide her necklace--that's why you couldn't charm her--now you can charm her at home and in the museum).

If you click on the picture of the gem from the vase (click examine) in the mechanic's shop, it gives you the neo spell and you can charm the mechanic, the tv station woman, the bank manager, and the girl in the park.
