After you combine the string and the magnet. Go to the alley and use the TUO DUO-Spell. Then yu see a gutter, then use the magnet.
And you got the rusty key.

Yes, please put the third patch link up again. As for the crypt, I believe it is near the end of Riptide's walk through, the second paragraph up from the bottom. The sentence ends with (modest). I think that's it.

How can I get mana?

The meaning of get mana is you receive a stone.
(use it on wild range and you got mana for your spells)

Heh. Yes, I was deliberately vague in various bits of my walkthrough. Mostly because figuring out some of it is fun.

On the other hand, I'm not having much luck figuring out how to access the pics for the ladies in public - there are some in the folder, but I don't know if the path isn't completed or if I'm just not finding the right options.

I haven't figured out how to pick the dragon gem up. It's too hot. Also, the game help says that there are five patches.
