Nah! Not me. Got the protection of the river bank and good supply of fish, mussels and yabbies (craybobs/crawdaws - freshwater things like lobsters with the spiky armour). Aussie water rats are not trash heap scavengers no matter what DiTo might believe.

yea, rats were mostly responsible for the plague, but you can also thank the witch hunters and the myth that all cats are witch's pet...those poor cats got slaughtered and the rat population exploded...

No, wrong species. In fact the Australian water rat was plagued upon for its pelt at one time. If memory serves me correctly they ore on our protected species list.
