What's the general concesus of Imperial of Hentai? Russian sites scare me. I went on it once and, maybe by coincidence, my computer got a death virus. Had to replace it. Never took the risk again.

Rather a dodgy site in many respects. I think it's not so much a deliberate policy, but rather that they have poor or zero vetting of the downloads they make available. They don't seem to care if a download is carrying a virus, or is infringing copyright.

I've never been bothered by viruses or similar malware since dropping M$ Windoze as a major OS several years ago in favour of Linux - I went from major malware infestations to zero immediately, and so far no one has designed a trojan or virus that does anything significant to a Linux installation.

Downloads either work or don't, with no nasty infections to cope with, unless I was to transfer them to my bootable Windoze partition, but I normally reserve that for offline running of software of interest, that insists on the Redmond OS.

I signed up with them once... complete waste of money. I saw a lot of games taken from other sites and even more, they put their logo on them, like they're the ones who designed the games. Plus a lot of downloads just didn't work. Didn't run into any viruses though.

I've never caught anything from the site or the downloads, though none of the few downloads I've tried actually worked. Russian sites of any content tend to have a lack of concern and/or capability to deal with security issues, though. My work PC once got burned from a Russian city's official tourism website. Not the best way to bring in visitors...

If you use Firefox and have Inline Translator installed, you can just use your mouse to hilight text you're interested in seeing the translation of - the same applies to Japanese and Chinese sites

Never had problem there, but as someone already stated "lots of junk there", so i kinda avoid the site

there are other sites i know of which i would rather use but are payed access ...

that is something that makes and breakes sites like that is how good are the download links .. hosting the files with the site or are they external links and their quality/virus checked.

Never had much luck with their downloads - either non-functional or needed original writers' passwords. Games I managed to get to work were generally poor quality.

There used to be this fellow who styled himself SuperM that championed their cause. I learned to avoid his posts.......after wasting a lot of time.
