Just watched 2 movies.

Rampage (2018) with the Rock, pretty good movie, worth a watch.

Ready Player One (2018), this is a great movie, even epic actually, worth 2+ hours of anyone's time.

I'll put them on my list to check out. I hadn't seen the first Deadpool since I did not know what it was about. With dead in the title name I though it may of had something to do with Zombies. (Yeah, I know. What do old people know). Anyway, I'll search around to see if it's available on a gratis video service. Depending how I like the first will help me decide if it's worth going to the theater to see the second. Avengers has priority.

My cable provider had a free Starz weekend. I saw one channel was pretty much dedicated to a show called "Outlander". It's kind of like the show "Turn", but on the seas with a time travel twist. I watched an episode and knew my wife would like it. She wound up watching about five episodes of Season 3. Now to see if I can find the rest of the episodes without going through the hassle of signing up for Starz. Unfortunately, it's not on Netflix in the US. Wish me luck.

My partner and I really enjoyed this movie and were both surprised by how many different companies's Trade Marked(*) characters were in it, from the early Donkey Kong (Mario) franchise to the more recent Star Wars franchise and many major game franchise in between. I would recommend it to anyone, especially gamers who like game referencing movies.

(*) We hoped those companies freely gave the licenses to use them, otherwise the TM/IP cost alone for making this movie would of been horrendously large.

I would assume they got permission from everyone and anyone they did not ask would be because they owned the rights to it.

You gotta watch DeadPool 1, it was a major success, it takes the piss out of a lot of super hero movies and in general it was VERY funny also, part 2 is funny also.

I totally love the TV series Outlander, I have watched all seasons, all episodes, to date so far and I would recommend it to anyone, it is a great TV series.

I wasn't implying they didn't get permission to show the TM/IP content, I was hoping they didn't need to pay the standard fees required to do it because the list of right holders is large and diverse, and some of them are known for charging a lot.
eg. Some of them being...

Microsoft and/or Bungie - Halo & related (depending on exactly what was shown)
Square Enix - Final Fantasy & related

I understand where You are coming from now.

But to be honest, I watched it, knew about all the reference to other movies in it and loved how they used those references also, and did not think even once, I wonder who got permission from who to reference what, cannot see Spielberg being involved in a major shake down like that , I mean even the Chucky bit was mega funny, all in all a great movie totally, go see it people, I would love a part 2 in reality, but I watched it again now and still same effect, loved it.

If you ever been on one you would know how hard they are to sink.

Never been on a battleship, would love to see one and be on one, I love history, so even from WW2, reading up on the likes of say Scharnhorst and the Bismarck, they were fearsome in battle, so yea battleships in general are total beasts in a fight.

HBO had a free weekend so my wife and I decided to watch "Wonder Woman". We didn't see it all as we both fell asleep about 20 minutes into the movie and woke up about an hour later. From what I saw, my impression was "chick flick": lots of dialogue, lots of pining, lots of Steve Trevor telling Diana he believes in her and so-so action. When I woke up to see a ballroom scene, I had to check the cable box to make sure it didn't change to the Hallmark Channel.

Interesting though, when we saw "Justice League", I though the Wonder Woman character was pretty good. Same person playing the character kind of lends me to believe that Gal Gadot can play the part well; but it's was the writer and directer that held back her talents. She kicks butt in "Justice League" whereas she's kind of bipolar in "Wonder Woman" (sometimes tough other times not so much). Oh well, it didn't cost me anything extra to see it and I got an extra hour of sleep.

Just saw "Weekend at Bernie's" for the first time. My wife and I liked it. Don't get me wrong; it's a pretty stupid movie, but it was a lot of fun. Don't take it seriously and just enjoy the dumbness of it.

I dont think it was a chick flick in reality, I even ignored the real life pink pussy hat wearing feminists trying to claim it as a feminist movie, which it was not btw lol, Wonder Woman the movie was just the origin story of her and how she came to be, and what she could do with her powers, a lot of Superman fans did not like the movie as it said in easy to understand words, Superman is amazing and strong, but he is just a man, where as Gal Gadot aka Wonder Woman is the daughter of a God Zeus, thus she is a Goddess and way more powerful than Superman, but in Justice League, she was put in 2nd place behind Superman to clearly appease the Superman fans, I mean bring in green krypitionite and Superman is down on his knees like a baby lol, no such bs like that for a Goddess.

Wonder Woman cost 149 million to make and has so far past 900 million in return sales, Justice League cost 300 million to make and has so far made return sales of 657.9 million.

For something else, give the movie: Annihilation a watch, it was a good movie I thought, it stars: Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson, Tuva Novotny and Oscar Isaac.

Saw a movie on Showtime called "Baby Driver". It's an action flick about a young man who is a wiz at driving cars. He has to pay down his debt to a person who hires criminals to do bank heists by being his steady getaway driver. The young man is quirky which is part of the movie's intrigue.

Interestingly, one of the roles is played by Lily James; but this is no Downton Abbey. The music selection for the movie is great for us folks who like it classic old school which covers a bunch of genres.

I watched a few good comedies recently, very funny and worth a watch.

TAG 2018:
