Finally finished it last night. Honestly, you two pairing to create games like this and Dreaming with Elsa has been an incredible boon to the community. Your games are so far above every other in terms of quality, both art and story are so compelling. I got sucked in from beginning to end. It's so rare to get games that are so excellent in both aspects. Now to wait for Pandora Part 2.

That was kinda explained at the start, her real name is Jessica. Her stage name is Jessika. Like all the other band members they have real names and their stage names, hers was the least changed for stage.

I will admit the game was a bit linear for my usual taste, but it was such a good story brilliantly executed by both Tlaero and Mortze (as usual). Im left wanting more in a good way, not in the way that I think the game is lacking. In the way that I have to play again (without score), anxiously awaiting the sequel that you've laid a foundation for. Kinda like when your favourite show ends an episode at a point that your desperately wanting to see what happens but you gotta wait until next week.

This achievement comes from the "lewd" path in the game (as does one other achievement). I'm pretty sure as long as you go on this path you shouldn't miss it. If you need more hints about this path, check a couple pages back

I took a quick look at the game files, the images folder is huge, more than 1500 files, a lot of work was put on this game, for how long you two been working on this game?

If I recall right I started working on it late august. Not sure.

More like early August. We announced that we had decided which way to go sometime around August 10th (or maybe the 12th), but had been working on it before then. My day job was particularly hard in the early part of the cycle, which slowed us down, but I had a lot of time off in late November and December, and did little else than this during that time. I'd say that, in balance, these games tend to take around 4 to 6 months.

Iksanabot, when I was a kid I read everything Alan Dean Foster wrote, including the Spellsinger books. I'm pretty sure that I wasn't referencing them in most of the game (though you never know where your subconscious finds stuff) because near the very end, when I was writing the scene you're talking about, I thought about the books then. (-: My use of that word in that scene was definitely a reference to those books, though.

Thank you for all the kind words and feedback, folks. I like it all, the positive and the negative, especially when the negative is something I can use to make better games in the future. I want to have a discussion about Marc, but I'm going to hold off for a while, because part of the discussion is going to get into game mechanics that people might not understand yet. I want people to have a change to play and enjoy (or not) the game before we start talking about things that would impact their play. That said, keep the feedback coming.

There are two general topics that I'd like to discuss nowish that aren't very spoilery. I'll start the first one now, and will move to the next when the discussion on this one dies down.

I'd like feedback on what you think of the mechanics of the final Marc and Jess sex scene vs the others. Set aside the positions, graphics, writing, intensity, etc. In this case, I'm not looking for "I wish it was kinkier" or "I really wish they did <your favorite sex act>". What I want to know is whether or not you liked the "reach, rub, retract" animations. As in, you click on a breast and you see an animation of his hand moving to her breast, it rubbing the breast, and then moving back when you let go of the mouse. This is compared to the other sex scenes where you click on a breast and you jump immediately to a page where his hand is on her breast (maybe animated, maybe not).

Did the "reach, rub, retract" add to the game? Detract from it? Not really matter one way or the other? Where you thinking, "Wow, that's really cool, I wish they did more of that"? Or was it, "Waiting for these animations is a waste of my time, I wish they didn't do them?" Or somewhere in between? I enjoyed it and thought it added to that particular scene, however, I don't think it's right for every scene. It forces the player to slow down, which wouldn't fit with most of the earlier scenes due to their faster pace.

Are similarities between Jessika and Canary accidental? Also between Miranda and Tattletale, I guess?

I'm more into Marvel than DC, although I like Batman and will read anything written by Gail Simone, so I've read some Batgirl. I don't recognize Canary, but I know of "Black Canary." I assume that's someone different since her power seems to be a frequency-controlled screech. I've never heard of Tattletale. I guess you'd say any similarities are accidental. Of course, there's nothing terribly innovative about a power to influence people with singing. That goes back to the Odyssey.

Incidentally, if Miranda has a power, it's not what you folks think it is. You don't have enough information to understand what's going on in the scene she's in ... yet.

Great game, awesome story and graphics to match! Great work! I've only hit the good guy path (it was obvious to me), found the bar slap scene, and the brush off after the sex in the elevator. I do like how many paths there are and how the choices can come back and bite you. I wasn't sure about the shape thing in the scoring, I only did the scores ones to get the feel of the game. The opening scene was hard to watch, and easy to fail thinking something was hidden in there, but no, you kept to the spirit of it and I liked that, even if it was hard to be Marc and watch. Monday morning, was a good reward though.

As to the mechanics, I did like the point, click, rub and so on, but agree its a technique that really makes an impact once in a game, maybe twice in a different scene, but more than that in a game would be too much. IMO. The story was immersive, and I can understand Jessika's feelings of responsibilty for the riot. When Great White played in a bar where the special effect ended up burning the place down and many people died, it was the club's fault overall (again IMO) but they stood up and took responsibilty. I see Jessika doing that here, so it felt right, regardless of the magic.

This game feels slightly disjointed with the others mostly due to the number of previous characters coming back,in that I don't really see it as stand alone since you miss much by not getting the refrences. But to be fair, it is a game that is set in a specific universe where the characters are intersection, and it is deep in the story line, so for that I understand. The number of times Chloe shows up, apparently the little minx did not learn much from her dealings with Elsa. Still I liked her in DwE so was not disappointed to see more of her.

For once I didn't feel it was too linear, though I think that was because of the length, there were enough points to branch off and affect your status that depending on what you do there are different end points. Haven't gotten all of the achievements yet, though my browser doesn't remember them each time, so I have to start over, but I like the replayability so no complaints there.

I have been dying to play to this game for the last few days, reading that this was Tlaero’s new favorite made me painfully curious and I must say that my expectations weren’t disappointed.

This game is awesome; the collaboration of the two of you is really something for this whole community.
Each of Tlaero’s games is a milestone in the genre, but Mortze, your work brought us on a brand new level.

This is a huge step forward from DwE, I really enjoyed that game but I had the impression that Elsa’s identity was a little bit shaky. This game’s characters are a completely different thing, and their extremely convincing characterization is founded on, in my opinion, a couple of aspects:
They’re so damn well written. You really outdid yourself this time, Tlaero, this was your best screenplay.
And the second aspect is their expressivity, I’ve never felt the characters of an erotic game so human. Mortze this is a huge merit of yours, the expressivity was probably what caught me most… I was there sitting on my chair laughing like an idiot at the face she just made, priceless.

There’s an aspect that I can’t really say if I liked or not, Jess is not a virgin, she’s not even a pornstar nor a slut obviously but she’s a rock star and I think we can get it quite clearly from the game that she’s had quite a lot of sexual experiences behind her back. Now here it is: Marc can’t be one of the many who she had sex with, he has to be different, he has the biggest penis she ever had, he was the first to give her a rim job and to make her cum twice.
While I was playing, I felt these things reassuring; it felt like the first time, no complex of inferiority and no meter of comparison with a more experienced partner. I don’t know, I thought about it later and probably that might have added complexity to the sex scenes and to their relationship, but I’d enjoy to hear different opinions about the matter.

Since we are talking about sex, I’d like to say that this game has been great, both from a graphic point of view and from how it was developed. The lesbian sex scene has been quite amazing; Sarah’s breast is impressive although I loved Syilvia appearance.
I usually hate blowjob both in games and in porn, but the scene you’ve done with Jess was Aaaaaabsolutely impressive, I couldn’t believe my eyes, I set the rolling stones song and it really set the mood for the best sex scene in the game.

Well the mechanic of the last sex scene was quite a surprise, it was absolutely perfect for the context and every other mechanic could have just ruin the moment. Nevertheless, in my personal opinion this should be placed max twice in a game.
I love the “classic” mechanic cause you really don’t know what to expect next, and that make you want more every time. This new one is great but it should be contextualized in the right moment (as you have done in this game, the whole scene was slow and sweet).

Actually, I hated Chloe in DwE, in this game she’s a deep character, definitely worth to be explored. Mortze you rendered her sadness perfectly!
I’d have loved to see the superpower theme developed a little further, I’m not a great fan of supernatural but I was curious to see in which way Jess would have influenced those around her. However, I’m sure that you’ve that already set in your mind

If I can give you my (extremely) personal opinion I think that this kind of game is more like a visual novel, and I love that totally. And I think that it would be nice to focus on a single path instead of two, but longer.

Mortze, I just love your art. You can’t understand how happy it makes me to finally see a little bush down there, your girls are amazing and It’s easy to feel all the passion and efforts you put in your work, I really wish you could turn the 3d erotica in your full time job, you deserve it and we’d enjoy it. I wish you all the luck in the world.

Tlaero i renew my commitment to translate this game, Sam loved it totally as well. I just hope this didn’t get her any new fantasy… I’m starting to get worried about your games’ influence
