Yes, 10 relationship points with Emily is most you can get during office part of Day 1. You will need to get some "general" points during Strip Club branch or you wont have enough to pass tests required to have full scene on Day 2.

"General" points? Not sure what those are.

I am following Natalie's elite path, so I am helping Candy and then doing what I believe is the "perfect" route with Natalie thereafter. Do I have to not help Candy if I want to get the alternate path with Emily on Day 2? I see in the walkthrough that if I don't help Candy it opens up a whole other branch on Day 2 in the office. I was avoiding that because, well... I want to pursue Natalie.

I mean, it's not a huge deal if I don't get to see the bigger path with Emily on Day 2 in the office (I've seen one of the paths with her, anyway, since I've previously done her elite path in the Bar on Day 1 and followed it up with the elite path on Day 2 in the office).

You probably missed a point somewhere... corruption paths are hard because you don't have any room for error. Miss a single point somewhere and you can forget about it. The only help, other then pointing to ExLibris' walktrough [http://aifsansmystery.blogspot.hr/2015/03/brads-erotic-week-day-1-bar.html] is to tell you that you need 38 points with Emily to "follow her in".

By "general points' I mean points that add to relationship with every girl as opposed to just the one you're interacting at the moment.

As far as Emily is concerned, if you take Natalie to dinner you can only get a scene with Emily during Day 2 if you ask about Faith. If you say you went to Strip Club you can't get a scene.

Hmm... I'll have to see what other options I have. I never receive an option to ask about Faith the way I am playing it because the discussion about her breakup and the previous night ends as soon as she tells me she has her old college apartment. My next dialogue choice, according to the Walkthrough, should cause her to say that she went to the bar and met Faith, but for me is that "you have have called me," at which point I notice that Jasmine is watching and the scene wraps up. According to the walkthrough, if I flirted with Emily on Day 1 and Emily tells me she had her college apartment, there should be a whole, big, long conversation about the previous night. But that's what I appear to not be getting.

Hmm, "You could have called me" only show up if you DIDN'T flirt with Emily on Day 1 in the office... are you sure you're using the correct save?

Absolutely. It's a straight play-through from the beginning.

Now, it's a download of the latest patch, so... maybe there's an issue with the download? I haven't tried it with the online version.

No idea then... you shouldn't be seeing that line if you flirted with Emily on Day 1.

Is this game not being continued in HTML format at all? :( It looks like it's heavy on the JavaScript, which I can't use. I load the Start file and just get an empty rectangle that does nothing.

Love the game and the new interface is slick, also the progress bars for the achievements is rather slick. Well done.

Played again with the latest version and only noticed two things to bring to your attention.

Running on Windows 8 in Desktop mode, when using the Start.htm with either IE or Chrome it just cycles and loads nothing, like its trying to load the next file but can't find it, going to the _launcher.htm file resolved that for me so I could play again. Not sure I am missing anything with this launch path though.

When I am on the Emily-Faith path, on Day 2 when I already set a date up with Emily and Faith the night before I get to the date option with Emily for helping her move, and the dialogue/options don't look to reflect that we already made a date. If I choose an option it gets back on the path, but that branch point confused me for a moment.

Just wanted to let you know, thanks for the great game.

There's a bug with translations on latest version, which makes some English text appear when it shouldn't. Kexter is working on it

Wow, I take a weekend off and come back to 3 pages of posts...

So...here's the first of the catch-up posts, and apologies in advance if I miss anyone.

benedict wrote:Wolf, I have a question...
...why any action taken by Brad, which has no relation to Emily, should have an influence on her willingness to perform something?
Emily is reacting only to the present situation. She doesn't intend for the full scene to occur in the first place, it just kind of happens. Most of the reason for it happening is because Emily feels comfortable with Brad. When Brad mentions his time with someone else, by telling about the Strip Club, that injects just enough discomfort to Emily. If he lies about it or hedges regarding Natalie because he went to the diner, Emily picks up on it, and it lowers her comfort level, and increases her awareness. On any path, if Brad mentions the lapdance aspect of the situation too soon, Emily will back off in embarrassment.

MysteryMan2333 wrote: Episode 5 is supposed to be the diner scene with Natalie, correct?
Partially correct. It's the diner scene (106 pages), The final piece of the Thursday Office containing an additional 154 pages, and 34 pages to the scene at home after work.

MysteryMan2333 wrote: Is there anything beyond that scene other than establishing if your friends or something more?
Depending on the path, some differing story elements. It's a story and exposition scene primarily.

MysteryMan2333 wrote:Maybe if the game included a release log of some sorts outlining what additional content is there (diner scene, additional 15 pictures, additional content for emily corruption path, etc.), I'd understand a bit more about what I should be trying to find.
You have a good point. Watch for some better information about what's new in the future.

MysteryMan2333 wrote: But that's what makes it so aggravating to me as well, because it feels like with each new episode, I miss more than I see.
I can understand that. We are in a portion of the game where there are a lot of parallel branches running on their own. By Friday morning, most of those branches will converge for a few episodes before branching out again in the middle of Season 2. Also, this is the third episode where we are in the office, so the content doesn't feel as "fresh" or "new" as some previous episodes. Notably 1-3. I doubt I'll break up a big scene again, and may instead delay release of an episode to play the full scene in one go.

GDS wrote:I always Got stuck on routes that are not finished yet =[
None of the routes are finished yet. :)

IdleGuy wrote:Is there any way to check which endings you've finished for certain achievements? And, if not, can it please be coded into the game?
Currently it's not possible without cheating. I've got an idea that might help with it though. I need to check feasibility though. Standby.
mugen24 wrote:Is there going to be voting for the next episode soon?
There will not be a public vote for Episode 6, although I'd be interested to know what folks are hoping to see next for anyone who wants to share.

mugen24 wrote:Is there going to be voting for the next episode soon?
Episode 6 isn't determined yet, but there will be no official vote for this one. In the future when I put it to vote, I won't have more than 2 options. Currently there are 6 options for Episode 6, consisting of 4 date options and 2 inclusions. I am interested to hear opinions/requests here for anyone who wants to share theirs.

To be continued...

Thank you Darius!
Darius wrote:As I played the French version of the game, I would like to know what’s the best way to propose corrections (spelling mistakes, sometimes we get some texts in English and not in French)? Should I PM Serge? Should I use the GUI?
For French translations corrections, probably a PM to Serge here would be best. For other languages use the main game forum from ingame links, although I've seen Moskys around this forum for Spanish.

For english displaying instead of the localized language, best to use the GUI to report it, or message Kexter, but it doesn't hurt to let the translator know also. All the translators are listed in the credits.
EscapeEvade wrote:General" points? Not sure what those are.
They are probably referring to Reputation points. Reputation points affect your score with all girls, either positively or negatively, and are also awarded occasionally when passing a tough relationship check.

The scores on top of the screen display your consolidated relationship score. They consist of the individuals relationship points, plus the total reputation points. Note that the max score is based on the current path. It is not valid to compare the max relationship score with one path and compare it to another path. This will become increasingly important to understand as the game progresses and different paths have access to a different variety of scenes. Also, the total score does not indicate difficulty as some easier paths have higher scores because they may be awarded more points per choice. In fact, some of the most difficult paths through the overall game have a significant amount of points subtracted as well as added. This is because, even in real life, not all relationships are rainbows and unicorns. Usually there are rocky spots in the road.

EscapeEvade wrote: if I flirted with Emily on Day 1 and Emily tells me she had her college apartment, there should be a whole, big, long conversation about the previous night. But that's what I appear to not be getting.
This should occur if you left the office on Day 1 with 10 Relationship for Emily. If you know you are leaving the office with that score, and still aren't getting the option, PM me your debug file and I'll see if it's a bug or if you are missing something.

Ripe wrote:Hmm, "You could have called me" only show up if you DIDN'T flirt with Emily on Day 1 in the office... are you sure you're using the correct save?
This is the intended result if you left the office with less than 10 Emily relationship and went to the strip club.

macman135 wrote:Is this game not being continued in HTML format at all? :( It looks like it's heavy on the JavaScript, which I can't use. I load the Start file and just get an empty rectangle that does nothing.
The game has always been reliant on JavaScript. One of the primary reasons is because with translations, the pages weren't really used anyway, and were redundant, so we eliminated the redundancy.

It looks like there is a problem with some versions of IE. Try running it in Firefox or Chrome as a workaround while we get it fixed.

boyo111 wrote:Love the game and the new interface is slick, also the progress bars for the achievements is rather slick. Well done.
Thanks boyo111!

Thanks, I'll look into tweaking that a bit in a future release!
boyo111 wrote:Not sure I am missing anything with this launch path though.
We're looking onto the start.htm issue. As for using _launcher, that's an old file not in use. It should detect and correct that. If you have access to the new content, such as the diner scene, then you are being redirected appropriately, and it's a good piece of information to help us track down the root issue with start.htm.

I'm pretty browser agnostic. I use all three regularly for different tasks, although 90% of my testing for BEW is done on Firefox.
