That's pretty much always the case. :)

If you think of the scene ending when you "go back to work" just before Jasmine comes out, that will help. What happened just before that is what is checked for the ending of the scene.

Did you bend Emily over her desk? Make her puke? Who came during the lap dance? You? Emily? Both? Did you just leave her crying in a puddle of agony?

I did all of the above at one time or another... but I don't think we're talking about the same achievement. Don't those individual actions count for "Working Boy" achievement [I have 23/26 of those]? I noticed that some of those trigger at the end of the scene and some trigger the moment they happen and I'll probably had to redo all of them since I can't remember what I did and what I didn't do. Hence my suggestion of adding some way to track which of those are triggered. And thing will only get "worse" considering that at this point you can go to Strip Club on Thursday by following five [or maybe even six!] different paths...

My problem is with "Dedicated Worker" which I got for not getting a date with Emily, being too pushy in my goodbye [I think I got 3 different endings there, depending on whether she canceled out date, change our plans or still go with our original plan], deciding to go to the movies and like... stuff that happen just before I go home after work.

To fully get that scene you basically need to flirt with Emily on day 1, go to the strip club and fail, then do the office bit.
I managed to get it by flirting with Emily in the office, going to the Strip Club but disappointing Natalie ('Hell hath no fury' path) then comforting Emily the day after and telling her you went to the strip club.
Failing immediately in the Strip club (as in Azumi private dance or just oggling) won't get you enough global points to advance with Emily.
Going to the diner with Natalie changes the dialogue option during Emily's comforting and blocks advancement as well.

I have to say "Thank you" to Wolfschadowe and kexter for this awesome game! Since I found it the first time a while ago, I played it several times and loved it. Great work!

But now something odd I found playing the Episode 5. Don't know if someone else already figured that out, but if not I'm posting it now. :D

In the office at Day 1 I let Brad flirt with Emily, so that she comes to the bar afterwards. But in the bar I focused on Faith, but still made "points" for Emily, so I heared from her that she broke up with Eddie. Then I let her cry and didnt hug her, so she went and I made a date with Faith.
But next day in the office Brad somehow forgot that Eddie broke up with Emily. And Emily even said: "I thought about going to that bar you go to, but decided against it" But she was there, just left early.

The new interface is crisp as all hell. Really liking it. All the pieces are falling into place quite neatly.

Glad the game's one step closer to completion. Now to just wait for the next release.

You're right. I was talking about activites, not endings. See, it's so complex that even I get confused. :??:

Spoiler, hints to the Dedicated Worker:

Fucked things up, not knowing to quit.
Emily hug ending.
Went straight home.
Emily kiss ending.
Made out with Emily before going home.
No date ending.
Ruined the date after making out.
Slowed down the makeout push.

Didn't realized "Went straight home." and "No date ending." are two separate endings... thanks for help.

On a side note, you listed only 8 potential endings there. ;)

Now for a hard one... figure out which 3 activities I miss.

Appreciate the new update. New UI is nice and helps make BEW stand out on its own from the engine used. I can understand the motive behind locking a bonus scene behind 100% completion, certainly a reward is in order for replaying the game that many times, although personally it irks me. I enjoy BEW because of all of the different choices it gives me to play it the way I want to. If the way I want to play it turns out to not be the "perfect" path or whatever then so be it, I still find satisfaction from being granted that freedom and my curiosity lends me to replay the game in a different way to see what I missed. However, locking the bonus scene behind playing through every path, including the "bad" ones or ones I don't care to play through because I don't find entertainment in doing so, doesn't motivate me to unlock the bonus scene. I rather would have been rewarded with the bonus scene if I figured out the "perfect path", rather than having to figure out the "perfect path", then another path, then another path, then a bad path, then another bad path, then the absolute worst path, and so on. That is just frankly too much of a grind for me and is not fun to me. More power to those that unlock the bonus scene, but food for thought for others like me that will likely never see content you worked hard on simply because the barrier for entry is just not fun for some of us.

All of DeusExLibris' walkthroughs are at aifsansmystery.blogspot.com

There hasn't been a new one for this game since June though.

The existing posts have been updated to include all the new Episode 5 content though, as mugen24 mentioned a couple of pages back.

I fully understand where you're coming from, and respect what you are saying. Here is my thought process behind it though, which may bring some understanding to the purpose, although that may not actually help you much. :)

One of the main reasons for achievements in the game is to entice people to see more of the content. Also, the game can be deceptive. What seems to be a "perfect path" may not lead to the best ending, it's just a more challenging path, and may be a more interesting journey for some. The best endings to the game aren't reserved for the perfect paths, although there will be some really good endings there. Also, at this stage of the game, what may seem to be a "bad" path, may turn around in a later scene and turn out as a great ending. Without the achievement system, how many people would start a "bad" path and abandon it thinking that they are losing, and then end up missing 2/3 of the game? Of course, some "bad" paths have bad endings, and so do some "perfect" paths. Ok, so now there's an achievement system that helps flag that there's more content, and some people are motivated by that alone. In fact, one of my friends is so achievement oriented that his wife has an "achievement" board that she puts stars on every time he does something like cleaning the garage....and it works! A 40+ yo father of two motivated by gold stars... But what if a person is like me. I'm not really motivated by achievements either, but I am motivated by content, and that's where the bonus scenes come in. I'll knock out achievements for access to additional bonus scenes...and ultimately, I'm building a game that I would want to play. That's why the bonus scenes are locked, to provide an incentive to see all the content. The downside, of course, is for those of you who are frustrated by trying to complete every scenario and just want to see the content.

Thanks evilgrim!

While not "officially" sanctioned, the best walkthroughs (in my opinion) are provided by ExLibris who is a tester for BEW at http://aifsansmystery.blogspot.com I believe she has updated them to include achievements, or at least is in the process of doing so, as she has been filing achievement related bug reports lately. :)

Hopefully Jasmine gets that locked off scene at some point, she is my favorite girl, in looks and personality. Also hope she reverts back to her old look, just for say... one scene, those glasses are cute.

My point wasn't that I "just want to see the content", it's that I would rather be rewarded for completing the most challenging path (the "perfect" one?), rather than having to play through every path. I'm fine with achievements, they certainly help track things well, I just don't care for the grind for the sake of the grind.
