Brad's Erotic Week (BEW) - S01, E07 (2017-12-04)

I'm happy to announce the release of Brad's Erotic Week, Episode 5

This release contains the final scene for Wednesday, which is a breakfast date with Natalie at a nearby diner. This also unlocks the Wednesday Mastery achievement and it's associated bonus scene. Additionally, the final portion of the Thursday office scene where we find out what Emily was up to while we were at the strip club, if that was your starting direction. Finally, some additional content in the form of phone calls during the afternoon transition at Brad's place.

Also, there is a new GUI for the game designed by Kexter. Thanks to Kexter for all the hard work on this!

Various bugfixes are also included. Shortly I'll be adding a new goal for overall patronage to allow for paying some artists to help out. Why? Well, because everyone who has applied has looked at the amount of work involved and run for the hills. Maybe if I could offer them a monetary $100-200 an episode, I'd get some on-board. That would mean Bigger Episodes! Yay!

From the last funding, all but about $100 went to supporting the game, either in server fees, content, or similar expenses. I used that $100 for a nice dinner with my family, and a few beers, and lots of coffee. Thank you all again for your support and patronage. The game is much better because of all of your help!

Pretty major bug:
After Natalie's Corruption path. If you end the scene where you invite Natalie to dine with you (and Azumi comes out giving you a card for the next day) if you pick (Go to diner) instead of complimenting her, the game will end rather than progress through to the Diner scene.
Even worse, though, is that this corrupts the save system. Quickload will always n1club096 and EVERY SAVE THAT YOU MAKE WILL BE n1club096. Doesn't matter if you were in an office on thursday, the save will be n1club096 and will continue from the Natalie corruption path.

Was a fervent lurker for about 2 years but I made an account just to report this. So yeah...

EDIT: Even importing an older bew_saves file will not fix this. I'm still unable to save anything as it'll revert to n1club096

Thanks for reporting. The issue is actually caused by saving on the credits screen. There's a system in place that looks for that specific case as I imagine nobody really wants to save on the credits page, if you did you'd end up with a useless save that would take you to the credits-screen instead of the page where you would actually want to continue the game from. Anyway this system got a bit confused. Closing the game and starting it again should have cleared up the stuck save-system.

I've patched the issue, and anyone who has downloaded the game in the last half-hour probably already has the fix. Check if your game is version 1.5.3 or not. If it is still version 1.5.2 then here's a hotfix for you, so you won't have to redownload the game once again: http://bew.rocks/bewep5patch

That sure as hell make things a bit more interesting... not to mention raise a hell of a lot of new questions.

Just one question, Thursday office achievements "Dedicated Worker" and "Working Boy" cover all the possible paths through Day One, for both Bar and Strip Club paths, correct?

That's correct. Those should cover the full Office scene which is now complete. (If we don't count the optional Inclusions that may come in a future episode.)

Those should be able to import fine. Tell us a little more about what's happening and we'll look into it. Also, there was a day 1 patch to fix a save issue. It shouldn't affect what you are seeing, but make sure your running 1.5.3 to be sure you have the patch.

I have the latest version. I exported the save and achievement files from the older version. When I go to import them into the new version, I click "import" choose the appropriate file and then nothing happens. The "open screen" just closes and when I go to check if the saves or achievements are there, they're not.

Edit: Nevermind, I figured out what the problem was. It was nothing wrong with your game, don't worry
