Sharkies, this is one of the "easter-eggs". You can let Ari dance on the table, when she is wearing her towel and when she is naked with untired hair.

To be precise on this matter:

The distribution that is known as UP17 contains the original 5.8 code plus a number of add-ons. If you download this distribution and decompress the files contained in it, you can just start the game and play it without the need to additionally download the original 5.8 distribution.

When starting UP17 you can choose to play the original version 5.8 (which is contained in UP17) or the fan extensions which are based on the original 5.8 and extend some of the scenes and behaviour of 5.8.

Hope this sheds some light on your question.

ok here we go again. I feel real stupid here. I can not figure out how you get her to dance on the table. You state I turn on music. Well the only way I know to do this is to goto living room and that does not lead me to her dancing on the kitchen table. I am lost (.

Now, what does this say? This refers to the scene where she drinks Whisky. And within this scene, there is a way to get her kneeling on the table. As there is more than one position of her kneeling on the table, you have to find out the right one.

If you look a couple of posts eralier on this thread, you see that yesterday Arnulf has revealed an additional information. Arnulf writes:

Nothing to add to this one.

Now let us continue further in reading my sentence. I write:
[*]... and I turn on the music ...
No information whatsoever about leaving this scene, it just says "turn on the music". So: the task is, to find the hidden place (within this scene) where you can turn on the music. As the picture has 800x500 pixels, just find the right ones to click on. And to not make the task harder than it already is, if you move the mouse over the correct area, the text displays "Turn on the music".

Summary: To turn on the music, click on "turn on the music"

Hey, cool - I was just wandering around the files a little bit and came across default2.htm It seems that if I use this frame as the opener (instead of index.htm) I get to keep track of at least SOME of the variables (# of drinks, etc.) of interest.

Unfortunately, my ability to read the program is limited. I can't tell if using this start frame inhibits or changes where I can go in the program. Can anyone with a deeper understanding clue me in?

The start frame of default2.htm does not alter the behaviour of the game.

If you want to see the whole truth, download Arnulf's fan extension UP17 (see some posts above or the first post in "Doctor shark's consultation"). There you have a button "Status" that displays more variables than you want to know in a separate status window. Each press on the "Status" button updates the contehnt of the debug window.

Thanks, qbv8 - I THOUGHT it unlikely that I had stumbled onto something unknown by the regulars on this forum. I'll try downloading UP17 and try keeping an eye on "status." I'll see if I can make any sense out of the various variables
