That's the problem I had when I tried playing around with it-she ended up looking like Ariane's mother!

Are you planning to work with Arnulf on future possibly common extensions of ArianeB, or do you plan to make your own ArianeB extensions? Or maybe introduce ArianeB into your VDG games?

I am very curious (and possibly some other lagooners as well).

I think the intention is to help out Arnulf and any others who want pictures for expansion packs. I still get a little confused about how Ariane operates in terms of scrïpts, so I'll happily provide images of Ariane doing new things and leave it up to someone else to place in the game.

For instance, as a test, I've used my last ariane to create an alternative in the last expansion pack, as the original is good, but it doesn't quite fit with the other images. (image parkshoot14c).

Chaotic this sounds very promising, and looks like Ariane could have a real future in the fan game extension community. The biggest problem in writing extensions always is (was ?) the lack of the Ariane model. This reduced creativity very much to recycling the already existing pictures and stressing photoshop & friends to the max.

And besides: programming skills is not the problem, this can be found anywhere round the corner. What is really missing is graphics designers with the model and the skills and the time to contribute.

Looks like Ariane could have a bright future and a "second life" out there. There are plenty of ideas for extending the story line way beyond the first day, but without having Ariane, everything is just a soap bubble. Let's change this!

The first thing that pops to mind is the shower. It would be nice to join her under the shower. I always felt that part was missing.

Too bad you only have Ariane, otherwise the combination with Rebecca could have been extended. Maybe one of your other girls would like to join in?

It would be nice to go swimming from the boat, maybe find an island?

If you could copy the white dress, an empty church would give some possibilities.
Alternatively the player could buy her a different outfit in the dress store and open up new scenes in that way. evening gown -> take her to a ball masqué
is a thing that pops to mind.

The bikini just seems to be the V3 standard. No problems with this whatsoever.

I have no idea where to start on the dress, so odds are I won't be able to use it.

After managing to get this close to Ariane, I'd be an idiot not to at least attempt Rebecca, so I'll see what I can do later in the week. If not, then a crossover with my own games might be a little fun :

Why don't you try the girl from the tankstation instead of Rebecca? I'd personally rather see her naked than Rebecca. Just my preference.

No need to copy the dress. She could use something new.

Her top on the first picture looks good, though it could be cut a bit lower and also show some of her belly. That would look sexier. Maybe a different colour to distinguish it from the original.

If you want to copy the original top.
The original has smaller straps, shows more cleavage and her nipples, is a bit lighter shade of red and it's tight on the bottom, it doesn't wrinkle there. Hope that helps.

By the way I also noticed in the original there is often a bit of light reflection in the eyes (especially in the close-ups.) This helps a lot to make the eyes look more alive. I presume that would not be too difficult.

I don't think you can export any useful format from Bryce. However, she could easily be photoshopped onto a scene rendered in Bryce.

But seriously, why try to reproduce the original artist's work to alter/expand her game, when the Virtual Date Girls are coming along so well? Since all the background scenes seem to be borrowed from other computer games, why not populate those scenes with a different girl and adjust the coding to fit a new personality?

I love the Ariane upgrades, but she's still someone else's creation and it seems some of you have the talent and technology to produce something else yourselves. Heck, throw both games' backgrounds together for one big adventure (it's a big town!). Instead of Ariane getting mad when you take a drink, the girl says "Well, looks like we'll leave the jeep parked where it is and walk to your place! You do have clean sheets on the bed, right?"

If Chaotic ever gets VDG turned into a "campaign mode" (i.e, you several girls in a row, then choose if you want to hook up with any of them), "our" version of Ariane could be one of them. For, uh, "historical reference".

But as I said, what I'd LOVE is a game where you have a girl/girl dating. Rebeca trying to get Ariane in a date would be funny

I just ran across this game and am intrigued. I was curious as how to accomplish certain feats and ran across this website. (an aside: sharky, your games with the nanny and chole are top notch as well.)

Anyway, i don't understand how to get Ari to talk about college and open up whatever it is that's supposed to open up (not too clear on that either). I have been able to buy the white dress and the pic at the home decor store. But i don't see what that has to do with other things. Can someone help me out here? I saw a detailed post but i couldn't get it too work properly. Most of the time when i can buy the dress the only option is to go home or to the seedy part of town.

I'm using the UP16 (what does the UP mean?) version.

Also, i saw a reference to a game called Crystal, is that a similar game to this? Any URLs?
