Ok, got 39/40...

Seems I'm missing the last one with Paula. I got the SITA and Game Over, what am I missing?

The one you are missing is an odd ruled one. Redo SITA with "Done It All!". You know how at the end of credits of Marvel movies they have a preview of the next Marvel movie? This is sort of my version of that.

Not sure if a future sequel will actually continue this story or not. I'm more interested in doing a SITA sequel based on the LARPing ending.

Strange. I've already gotten the SITA ending with "Done it All!" on. There wasn't anything after the credits. Is this just an issue of making different choices and still achieving that ending?

It's the "one week later" scene and it is just before the credits.

Huh, I selected all Did Everything in the options menu and went through story 4 again and got nothing. Do I need to et the other 39 endings?

Also, I know this isn't supposed to be the most pornographic game, but I could have sworn I heard you say eons ago there was a fivesome in this? Is that still in or was it cut? Just wondering if my memory is mixed up or not XD

It got cut :(

Without going into details (because I may use the story in the future), the story did not work very well, and was so completely different from any other story in the game it felt out of place.

It involved Heidi and the secret club she belongs to, as described in a dialogue that is still in the game with Suki. Part of me wanted to drop that dialogue as it is now irrelevant, but I like adding little mysteries to the story that never get properly explained.

Loving this game so far. 26 endings in, getting hard to find new ones. The characters models are just gorgeous, especially Ariane. I love that there are actually puzzles to solves instead of just clicking around to find hotspots I may have missed in the previous games. The photoshoot was great, I felt like there had to be more to it and I was right. I rofled at the tumblr being real. Great touch. The raptor puzzle was really hard to find all 8 of those damn things, may want to make that easier in the final game. I wish there was more Veronica too. Her ending was so sudden. And is there a threesome with Ariane if you play your cards just right?

Now back to trying to get the comic book convention I keep seeing mentioned.

Ah! Arnulf, the gentle Giant! If there is a "hereafter" then I'd be confident that our dear friend is quite knowledgeable.

My homelanguage isn´t English so I hope you understand the sence.

For me the Game is dissapointing I hoped the Game is a dating Game like the first one and hoped an open world.

The graphic/pics are very nice. The Game is more a written novel as you can change much.

I try to explain more what I hoped the Game is.

You wake up and you can choose at your own what you are doing and when you are doing. So all shops, locations, girls and so on are all time available and you can choose it all time you want.

Then you have to find out what a Girl want and so on and maybe choose another Girl in the way to find out what is the best.

For example maybe you have no job and you can try to get a job in different locations.Go shopping and it change which person you can meet. You can buy different things and you must try out what you can do with this and so on.

Aso I liked the flirting options from the first Ariane Game.

So for me is this a Game and this what I get a written novel with very small different to change the story. You are most reading only and you must follow the way.

The pics are old the different of choices are more and so on so for me the best Game is the first Ariane Game (more a real Game).

I share some of your disappointment but even as it stands this game requires a pretty large download. To give you some idea there's an earlier reply in this thread (that I can't find at the moment) to a comment by Tlaero about the switch to using menus instead of hotspots. Apparently hotspots require an extra picture each time so even such a "simple" change would greatly increase the size of the download. You also have to consider that these games are basically written as a hobby but to create a true "open world" game such as the one you describe would require a whole team of dedicated professionals or a wait until the next millennium for an update.

Reading back through this thread I think J_I got it about right when he (she?) said
J_I wrote:"I think it just feels like the stories are not very interactive, so I'm sort of along for the ride and occasionally have the option to make a mistake. Otherwise, things sort of go as they're going to go, and it doesn't seem like I can do much to reach a 'good' ending as opposed to just an ending. I've found myself replaying scenarios because they felt incomplete, but no matter how much I back out and try different options, I get the same, abrupt ending".

In fairness to ArianeB, it was always made clear that SITA is a "graphic novel". I'm not a great fan of the genre but I can understand the reasons for that choice and, as graphic novels go, this is probably as good as they get. There does seem to be rather a lot of clicking though...

I'm the type of person who will try to avoid looking at walkthroughs or being told how many endings and what they are as much as possible. This field has developed well enough now that a game should be intuitive so you will know that something that feels "right" is right. In this case there seems to be little or no difference between "right" and "wrong" until almost the end of a scenario. I imagine these sudden endings are meant to be a hint that others might be available but I feel there should be some small reward for getting so far, even if it is only a clue as to what else you might try in order to change the outcome with that particular girl and you should certainly be told in no uncertain terms if the ending you've reached is the only one there is for Girl X, Y or Z, so you're not in danger of beating your head against a wall. It's hard enough to find the real endings, without looking for ones that don't exist :)

Generally speaking I don't understand why it is that a developer is happy to tell us stuff or drop hints in this thread when he could have just told us the exact same thing in the game so we can get on with enjoying it instead of hanging around here and cluttering up the lagoon. :)

While talking generally... Having defended the argument on file sizes, there's one scenario where I feel this should be a secondary consideration. In the case of games (like SITA) where there's a lot of clicking through scenes going on and you play the same scenes several times looking for a different outcome, PLEASE make the picture following the "good" choice significantly different to the one following a "bad" choice. This should at least make sure the player stops to read what it says and not just click on through to the next choice because he's already played through that part before... Sometimes the only difference is a small change to the words underneath the picture, which you can click through numerous times without even noticing and end up missing your stop.

We should also remember that this is only the Beta version... Work is still in progress and, as can be seen from this thread, our input is being taken into account. (The colour-blind are grateful - If we ever get to form a society I'll be nominating ArianeB as our Honorary President) :)

Hi ArianeB,
Thanks for the game and thanks for monitoring this forum. It's great to have you here.
I love your work and am really enjoying this game. The breadth of content is just fucking fantastic. I love the art, I love the characters, I love all the flirty, sexy, exhibitionism-ish stuff they get up to. I think that your first game is the most re-playable adult-themed game ever created, and now you may have outdone yourself.

I do have one negative thing to say, and I know I will probably get my head bitten off by some other rabid fan (I count myself a rabid fan). I wonder why the sex scenes are so tame. It seems you've pulled back a bit from what were already tame sex scenes in the first game. Are you aiming for a wider audience and think some potential players would be uncomfortable playing a game that gets a little more graphic? I have only found about 4 different sex scenes so far, but all of them seem to consist of the naked torso of the woman I've succeeded with bouncing in front of me. There is full frontal nudity throughout the game, but so far, not in the sex scenes I've found. And I think I did see an animation that indicated I was getting a blow job, but it was just a close-up of the back of the top of a head going up and down (which is amusing, but also a little unsatisfying). I guess that really sums up what my small criticism is: Though the game is VERY fun to play, the sex scenes are unsatisfying, even disappointing. I think many of the game developers on this forum think of the sex scenes as the 'reward' of solving the game. It seems to me the game would be stronger if the rewards were a little more intense. The way they are now, they are mostly only *conceptually* rewarding, because you know you solved that pathway of the game and know you scored the hot girl you were after. In contrast, the sex scenes are not very *sensually* rewarding because the visual is so short and limited (more explicit visuals wold be more sensually rewarding). Even conceptually, it's not that rewarding because the visual suggests that you had very brief, one-position sex with your partner. If you, as an artist, are fully against more explicit visuals, adding a couple more non-explicit visuals to indicate some foreplay and a second or third position would be nice because if the main reward is going to be mostly conceptual, I'd like to conceive that I had crazy-hot monkey sex with my partner rather than just a quick bounce.

Is it possible you may release a xxx version of the game at some point? It might be a good strategy to reinvigorate donations in the future.

I hate to be critical, but I do intend to give insight here, not just to complain.

Thanks for your games, thanks for creating the genre and for inspiring other masterful game makers such as Tlaero and Phreaky.
With enormous respect and gratitude,

Really enjoying the novel/game but I'm having a very tough time getting some endings.

Can anyone provide hints as to whether it's possible to get a "good" Rebecca/Ariane ending?

Also, any hints on how you get to sleep with Rachel? I've had numerous endings but no "good" ones. :(

Best I've been able to do is go back to her apartment and do a tame photo shoot.

First, sorry for my bad english. Frenchies are not good in languages, it's well known.

After so many years, the second date with Ariane is on! And it's worth it! Thank you for this awesome and brilliant visual novel game.
The graphics are really wonderful, the girls beautiful, even the first meet with Ariane after one week (in the game) gives a strange feeling that something has changed Bravo for all this work Arianne!

Technicaly the game is perfect (no bug, just difficult to find lizards in the mmorpg videogame^^), i love how the prequel is used and how it can change some storylines. What i love the most it's the possibilities to open new storylines when you make some choices like the one which open the storyline to the "something's in the air" end.

And there is the point that i wanted to deal with in this post. It's not a critic, it's just a thing that you could have more exploited. Your town is living during a whole day, and you can make different adventures with different carachters during this days and we can see the others do their own life.
Arianne did you seen the movie : The Groundhog Day with Bill Murray and Andy McDowell? If i ask the question, it's because with how you have constructed your game, i think it was possible to create a scenario like this in "Something's in the air". When you reach an end, it could open a new choice in the main storyline who can ends whith the best end : the perfect date with Arianne where you wake up in the next morning near her. The stories of Ariane, Rachel, Wendy and others are really wonderful, but they are all disconnected or nearly. And the fact is that you have all the materials to make something like in the Groundhog Day, even the mysterious physical meteorological event created by a mysterious scientist with her not less mysterious assistants, that can explain that you wake up again the same morning and try to reach another end. i don't know if my bad english allows you to understand what i mean, but it's just a suggestion.

This said, i can return to the game, i have 7 endings more to find and i want them
And i appreciate so the game that i plan sincerely to do a donation. Thanks for this great game Ariane!

PS : for all who want create dating games, i recommend to watch the film Groundhog Day, it's the perfect base for a scenario of a dating game^^

Had problems running it at first because it was on a fat formatted usb stick and kept denying permission, but once I copied it to my hard drive and ran the .sh file everything worked fine.

I reckon you need to run the .sh rather than the .py otherwise not everything will load correctly -- I think the game uses its own version of python

Arnulf can't be remembered enough, Squeeky. Great guy. May the great shark in heaven take care of his soul.

I downloaded the SITA game and started it up just 'once'. I don't like the new Ariane like I liked the previous one but that is personal, of course, after having had so many adventures with her previous incarnation. Perhaps I'll get used to her after a few runs. But it seems quite a 'tour de force' from Ariane, the creator! As for the stories, i still have to try them out...

BTW, I have no intention of making walkthroughs for SITA, at least not now, my professional, personal and (brand new) love life is too hectic right now.

Thanks for thinking of me, Squeeky!
