exlibris's walkthrough has been the biggest help. I was using Chrome at first, so I would keep Chrome open to check source code and see what action to choose before I saw that.

I have no problem "cheating", especially if its to get a good story out of a game.

ctunnel, the game isn't specifically designed to make it easy to be modded. It's specifically designed to make it easy to make. (-:

In writing the game, I use a tool I wrote called "AdventureCreator." I wrote the tool specifically to make the creation of these games easier for non-programmers, and it's available to everyone. Check out the "Projects" forum here for the link to download it.

i personally ended up making my own walkthrough in notepad, this one was a lot easier to follow then the last one especially with the score card and check points (even though it was quite possible to get to a check point and be stuck and have to do a full restart) All in all great game and I'm sorry to hear the next one wont be so epic and steal my day like this one did.

zarkon wrote : Ok. ExLibris, I played it many times over, focusing on what she says in every occasion. I think I have a more complete profile of her now, and it will certainly surprise you, the way it surprised me. Here it is:
Christine is almost totally inexperienced in matters of relationships and sex. Quite the opposite of self confident. It sounds too extreme, but if you see her steps one after another you may agree. It all fits: she is a grown woman with the behaviour of a teenager! I said she is insecure: that's an understatement. In fact she is absolutely terrified. I think she has been hurt more than once, the expression "serial victim" I think fits her perfectly. She is something like an overgrown schoolgirl! I have a complete profile of her, read it and I'm open for discussion. Her main points of her are: trust issues, shyness and immaturity. I'll present those with phrases she uses.

That explains her irrational leaps from trust issues to the threesome and fouresome: she is simply playing! Trying to find someone to complete her emotionally, and fill in for the time she has lost.
I have more examples, but what I think is that in the end everybody sees what he wants to see. I say that because I'm sure that you can find other examples that lead to a different conclusion. Maybe I just want her to be that way. What matters here is that tlaero and phreaky created a character so real that we started a debated over her. Anyway, if you want to say anything on this matter, I'm open to discuss it.

Generally I agree with you, especially "in the end everybody sees what he wants to see".

Trust - a woman who asks a friend to try and seduce her boyfriend as a test (when they've been going out less than 48 hours!) has major league trust issues. No argument there.

Shyness - I think what you're describing is more a fear of intimacy than shyness per se. It's hard to think of a woman who deep throats a banana in a crowded bar while her date loudly cheers her on as shy. Attention seeking does tend to go along with insecurity though.

Lack of experience - I'd agree that she's less experienced than she might appear at first glance. After all Adrian never sees her with anyone else in all the time he watches her, and Patty & Tyrone never hear her.
However, there is a line that makes me think that Vanessa wasn't her first time with a woman:
"But I have no emotional attachment to other women. Sleeping with them is like masturbating to porn."
The fact that she sets up the scene with Sandy (because it's way too much of a coincidence that Sandy turns up at that hotel at that exact moment) makes me suspect that they've been bed buddies in the past, although there are a lot of other possible explanations.

I think one of Christine's main characteristics is her emotional remoteness, which is consistent with some emotional trauma in her past. She doesn't trust, and she doesn't let herself have feelings for anyone else. As I mentioned, when she uses the word love it's to describe someone else's feelings. Even with Adrian I think the most she'll say is that she's 'attached' to him, which is a pretty neutral term.

But ultimately it's all in the eye of the beholder, as Tlaero has avoided providing any evidence that would categorically define Christine one way or another.

However, I would agree with Ripe that Adrian is the forgotten man in all of this.

I'm not sure I'd classify him as an incipient serial killer/rapist since he didn't deliberately set out to watch Christine undressing, and he doesn't try to spy on anyone else. But he's introverted, inexperienced and lacking in confidence and self-esteem.

His relationship with Christine has a lot of the signs of infatuation, especially the way he seems to idealise Christine (he refers to her as an angel and a goddess, for example) even though she's all too human with human problems. If the relationship goes wrong (and given Christine's likely emotional problems that's quite possible) he doesn't really have the tools to deal with it properly. He may also come to resent Christine's dominant position in the relationship, which could cause problems down the line as well.

Tlairo & Phreaky,

Your games are always awesome... They seem to get better with each creation. This one being no different. I have a question that is a bit off topic (my apologies), I was just wondering if you have a web site that has all or most of your offerings (meaning creations)? I have tried googling but could not find. Somehow I remember there being a web site. Anyway, thanks for the great game. And just for the record, I did date somebody similar to Christine, I ended up breaking it off after 5 years... LOL! She was my first Gurl
Looking forward to your next creation, but no hurry though...

Thanks Macster. We don't have a website. Links to all of the games have been posted here. Although, Leo's site (playforceone.com) also hosts them.

Our three real collaborations are:
Virtual Date With Keeley
Daydreaming With Keeley
Getting to Know Christine

Prior to that, Phreaky did a game with Amy and I redid it. But we were just figuring things out then. We didn't really get going until Keeley.

I have a question ............

Who is getting the psychiatrist's couch treatment here Christine or her creator

I just wonder how much of Christine is autobiographical.

(Please remember I said I liked her first )

Ok, I think that this is getting scary!
We've been arguing over the psycological characteristics of a non-existing person.
I tried to find an explanation over this. I personally admit that I became obsessed with it, and fighting against every opinion that is different than mine. The best explanation I came up with is that we are not arguing about Christine, but over the personal opinion of everyone's ideal girl. ExLibris, you made it clear when you said that Adrian idealises Christine. Who's idealising Christine: Adrian or us? I'm not blaming anyone for this before myself. I was overobsessed with it, and if you read all my posts you'll see it: they're all about who Christine is. Last night I went over them again and what I saw really scared me:
I recreated Christine the way I see my ideal type of girl. I really fell in love with her (not Christine, of course, but with my ideal kind of girl).
Let's just say that everybody is right, since everybody sees what he wants to see and has different standards of the ideal woman.
And of course, this matter only adds to what Tlairo & Pheaky have created here. In my point of view, this is the best (by far) virtual date game ever made. Christine is the most realistic, solid female character ever been created (again, my personal opinion).
So, Tlairo & Pheaky, I salute you! Keep doing what you've been doing so good.
And finally, to those who may have been annoyed by my obssesion, I'm sorry! But in the end, I enjoyed every second of this. Thank you!

Hi Tlaero, hi Phreaky,

I can not say with words, unfortunately. But with pictures. Here is my response to this game. Play the Game 'Double Sick'.

Thanks for this great game! I like your games.

"And feeling bad about it didn't keep you from learning her schedule so that you can be home to watch...
It didn't keep you from buying binoculars either."
Now that sound pretty deliberate to me ExLibris...

And one of the next lines is not much better either:
"And your sex life doesn't amount to much more than jerking off while watching your neighbor through binoculars..."

So there is a lot to be worried about Adrian... I'd say he have all the build up of future serial rapist/killer.

I'm not saying that it's not deliberate, I just don't think that being obsessed with one girl (who is deliberately encouraging his voyeurism by performing for him) is going to turn him into a serial killer. I don't think it's impossible that violence could erupt in Adrian's relationship with Christine, because he's not well equipped to deal with any problems.

However, as far as we can tell, Adrian doesn't have any of the major warning signs (although not every serial killer does). No sadistic tendencies, no childhood abuse, no criminal history, no poor impulse control, no employment problems. If you look at the Hare Psychopathy Checklist, it's actually Christine who ticks more of the boxes (NB. before anyone says anything, I don't actually think that Christine is a psychopath).

Although I said that this has to stop, I'm back!
I guess I enjoy this communication we started here.
So here we go.Time to profile Adrian. Good. I think Tlaero gave all we need to know about him right from the start.Ripe, the very next line after the ones you mention, is:
"Your love life is non-existent. You're generally too nervous around women."
Since I used to be like this, I think Tlaero describes a character that is simply a common loser. From there untill saying that he is a potential future serial rapist/killer, I think there is a great distance. It needs something to trigger this leap. And ExLibris, the yesterday Zarkon would be very upset by the simple implication that Christine is a psycopath (LOL).

At times the Christine/Adrian relationship mirrors the initial stages of my current relationship, so I actually could identify once we got past the voyeurism aspect of it. To me, the development of their relationship progressed quite naturally, with Christine withholding to keep Adrian interested.

I think the relationship in the game would continue to be very committed, albeit very open with the two of them constantly bringing others in and trying new things just for the thrill.

After playing through it, though I have to say that I hate that the parking lot scene wasn't shown, although I can see why, as it wouldn't add any to the gameplay except to cap off a scene with sex.
