Thanks for the links, t_jobe. I don't really want to post my email address on Ariane's blog, but I'd like to let her know that she was absolutely the inspiration for the two Keeley games and Getting to Know Christine. If anyone wants to post that there, be my guest. If you do, make sure you send her this way. Maybe entice her with a link to the discussion about her game. I'd love to have her join the lagoon.

I've never seen anything that says otherwise, but I haven't really looked. Is there a page that describes the person behind the ArianeB persona?

I have seen somewhere that the creator of ArianeB adopts the Ariane persona at Second Life. I am unsure if it was in a Lagoon thread, maybe something Felix Atagong wrote on his site or something Ariane Barnes wrote at the ArianeB site that suggests Ariane is not actually "she", but that is really a moot point.

I'd assume that Second Life and There are both places that A.B. has hung out in. If you read the comics you'll see both versions there and I doubt that she'd have a friend playing that role for the comics. I haven't persoally been in SL for years and I don't even know if There exists (played that one in beta).

She seems to have played almost all of the various MMRPGs, always with a similar looking character, and always with a name similar to Ariane. It's certainly possible that it's actually a man roleplaying a woman, but I've never seen anything from her that says so.

The only thing that kind of suggests it to me is that I'd never write a game where you date me. That seems like too much an invitation for cyberstalking. But that's me. She might feel differently.
