Hi, themoviesss, Your download seems to be OK. The unpacked game has 97,6 MB but the rar-file before extraction has 81,7 MB. So far it should be a correct file. My only idea remaining is, that you should try another unpacking program, such as for example 7zip (freeware to be found via Google) or Winrar.

You wrote, that you can see the save/load options. That means, if you can see the red buttons, the images-file must be present and working, because the red buttons are placed there as bmp-pictures. If you cannot see the pictures of the game, something in the game-program is not working. It cannot be a bug in the program as it has been released, because in this case we would have got very much reclamations from frustrated users. So, I can see the only possible reason for the game not working for you, it must have happend during the extracting process. Another option could be that your browser or your operating system has created some obstacles, but I do not believe so, because normally at least Firefox is always willing to perform as far as possible.

let us debug your problem with UP16. Please perform the following actions and tell me the results. For the remainder of this conversation, I refer to the top directory of the Ariane game (the one that contains only the file "index.htm" and the folder "dateariane") as .

Assumptions so far: You have successfully downloaded UP16 from the location given by Arnulf and have successfully unpacked it somewhere on your local hard disk. And if I understand correctly, you have tried running the game with both: Internet Explorer as well as Firefox. Please correct, if this is wrong.
[*]1. Which browser versions and which operating system are you using?
[*]2. View the file /dateariane/images/pic1.jpg with your standard image viewing software. Do you see the picture?
[*]3. View /dateariane/default.htm with your browser. You should see the complete Ariane game window with the red buttons on the bottom. Do you see the big picture of Ariane sitting in her livingroom as well?
[*]4. Cut and paste the following 3 lines into a simple text editor like notepad:

[*]Note: after cutting and pasting the text above, the letter "i" in the word "scrïpt" might be translated as a letter "i" with two dots above. This is an error of the software that operates this forum. Please correct these letters (there must be at most 3 instances of it), so that your text contains only proper letters "i". Now save this as /test1.html and view test1.html with your browser. You should again see the complete Ariane game window with the red buttons on the bottom. Do you see the big picture of Ariane sitting in her livingroom as well?
[*]5. If 2. - 4. worked well, you should be able to start the game by viewing /index.htm. Is this the case?

Let me know the answers to these questions, and then we might get closer to the source of the problem.

UP16 with Safari browser on Apple

Hello out there in the lagoon,
many people (1200) have downloaded UP16 up to now, and I would like to know if any of you experienced problems so far with the save game feature. As I do not have all browsers and platforms to my disposal, I would especially be interested to know whether any of you have played ArianeB with UP16 extensions using Safari on Apple, and if savegame works with Safari browser on Apple platform.

Made a quick test under Tiger (10.4)with Safari 3.1.2.
The save button seems to work, dialog window with the saved variables,blablabla another dialog window... game saved OK.
BUT the cookie is nowhere to be seen, and quite accordingly, the load button is, well... inoperative.
Of course, dealing with settings for cookies in the preferences menu changes nothing.
Best hope for Apple users in this matter: use Firefox! It works fine.

Btw, Safari for windows is available for quite a long time, if you wish. Don't know if it deals with cookies the same way, though.

thank you for your reply. Yes, that is the same behavior I have observed with Safari on Windows. My hope was that Safari on Windows is buggy and Safari on Mac behaves with respect to cookies like alle the other browsers I have succesfully tested (Firefox, Opera, IE7, Google Chrome). In that case I would have ignored Safari on Windows and end of the story.

But now ...

It took me a whole day to dig into the Safari problem. I can write the cookie, I even see the cookie in the list when looking at the cookie via Preferences -> Security -> Show Cookies.

When reading it, I ask in the code whether cookies are enabled, get a "yes", read the cookies and --- get Null. So I will have to solve this problem sooner or later.

Thanks a lot for your posting here. This encourages me to continue my work on that problem. I just wonder why after these many downloads and after such a long time still nobody complains about this effect. There must be some other Mac users out there as well ...

Hi there, i'm new to all this, i'm having trouble downloading the updated version of ArianeB.

When i click on the pic to download it comes up as:

Nowhere near the 97.6mb mentioned

Then i get a message saying: Do you want to save this file, or find a program online to open it?

Sorry i'm a bit thick, but i'm very slow when it comes to this sort of thing. Can anyone help?

Hi, Condorman, first Welcome to the lagoon!
The link which you referred to is OK. When clicking on the picture you'll get directly connected to rapidshare. The file size of 83734 KB also is correct, because this is a RAR-archive which you cannot use as it is, but you have to unpack the archive with a suitable program. The most known program is Winrar, but you also can use one of the many unpacking programs, which you can find in the net as free of charge freeware. Google may help you searching. You should download such extracion program and install the same.

Then you can unpack the ArianeB UP 16 getting a folder, which then will have the size of the 97,6 MB, as mentioned above. In this new folder you'll find a ReadMe.txt file, which gives you all informations for the use of this update.

In the images folder there's some pics of Ariane during the 'car photoshoot' where's shes still in her top, but without her pants.

Can anyone tell me how you end up in this scenario? There never seems to be an option where you just ask her to remove her jeans.

Hi, Chaotic, the car-photoshooting which you mean is part of the new 5.5 version of the original author. The new pictures with Ariane in her undies are shown, when you after the already known beginning of the photosession, when you can ask her to pose topless, not ask her this, instead ask her to pose in her underware. You have to click a little lower. Then she'll take off her trousers. Click on her, then click on her face and say: nice legs, then ask her to jump in the air and thereafter let pull down her top in oder to hide her slip. Now you can ask her to pose nearby the car and so on. A detailed walkthrough you can find in Felix Atagong's unfinished projects

It took a long time to prepare the next update of the ArianeB datinggame, but now it's done.

Rapidshare is taking forever at the moment. I wanna see the new version.

I found a small bug on the first page. On linux the filesystem is case sensitive. For some images the files were said to be in the directory Images instead of images.

And another one. If I switch to full screen (I have a widescreen) the text is centered in the middle of the screen, which is somewhere on the right side of the picture.

Since I'm bughunting. When on the beach after the three questions where I choose actions instead of talking and i click "I'd rather pursue you." the text shows "undefined"
scene 94. There are a few other paths there leading to a same result.

The problem with the undefined scenes was in the game in the earlier versions, btw. Since I did a little cheating then (changing some variables) I never reported it before.

Afterwards (when we had sex on the beach) and I go to the kitchen, she wants to go to the park and do a photoshoot, again and again. When we go swimming, it changes.
