Add-Ons for ArianeB

Are there any add-ons for the virtual dating game ArianeB? And I don't mean the Sharon file, because that one doesn't work correctly for me (version 5.0), and it also doens't add anything new to the game.
I'm talking about new places, choices and people or something like that.

I don't think there're actual add-ons (unless you don't count the whole 5.0 as an addon) ;-) But you can actually make available several parts of the game you usually don't get to see, with very simple changes to the HTML files; much like the Sharon hack, but better.

Here you have one example. If you'd like to watch the entire strip show, just open the file text82.htm in your favorite plain text editor, and make the following changes;

Find the following lines of text:

- var lim = 2;
- lim = 3;
- if (dan > lim || bet > 3) {
- if (pol > lim || bet > 3) {
- if (chr > lim || bet > 3) {
- if (tou > lim || bet > 3) {

and change every number into any big number you want (I use 99) so she never gets bored from dancing.


Then, find the following line:

- if (bet >= 3 && parent.nudeok())

and make it say instead,

- if (bet >= 0)

so she never hesitates stripping clothing.

Now Ariane is a natural born dancer!!

You can make other changes giving you aditional choices, allowing you to, for example,
- having Ariane ask Reb to go home with you, after they make out at the dance floor, instead of ending the game
- allowing you to actually EXIT the bar without having a fight or returning home
- allowing you to take the car several times
- rigging the basket game so she ALWAYS flashes you
- re-inserting the "missing" french kiss scenes
- changing the ending black screen into a sex slideshow

I guess all of them do count as add-ons. I could give you instructions about how to make these changes, if you don't know how to implement them yourself, if you're interested

Edit the file pic61d.htm and look for this string of code





The second line controls the image map, the third line the image you load. It would be too boring to simply change it to depict the sex animation. We'll also change the image map.

Make them that way instead:





Now you start watching the darkened car sex animation, and clicks in the four corners of the screen switch betwen that, the blowjob scene, the famous afterglow scene that isn't actually shown in the game, and the endgame (notice how the corners used are chosen so clicking in the head and hips of afterglow Ariane give you the expected results).

You could also adjust it so it also shows somewhere the "Ariane naked in bed" image of real Ariane's website, or a diferent image of your choosing, but that's left as an exercise for the reader

OK. Thanks to Google, I guess you want to edit the beach scene so you can have sex there, right?

Open the following files:

text94g.htm (naked in beach in front of car)
text94.htm (controls the whole beach scene)
text71.htm (controls the sex in jeep scene)


In the file text94g.htm, look for this piece of code




and make it say instead








Then, open the file text71.htm and (using copy and paste) copy the entire code betwen the line function pornpic() (included) and the line function enoughfunny() (NOT included).

Then paste it in the file text94.htm at any convenient place, like right after the function that controls the text94h file, the function called function atcar(); I take that by now you're familiar with how the game's functions are arrayed, but to make it sure, is the entire text betwen the name of a function and the name of the next function; so simply paste the text right before the line function getdressed()

Finally, still in the text94.htm file, we copy the entire text (but for the name, of course!) of the function gohome() and paste it replacing the entire texts (also but for the name, of course!!) of the following functions:

- function endfuck()
- function endblow()
- function endoral()

so you still come back home after beach sex, instead of ending the game.

Of course this is the quick-and-dirty, touch-the-less-files-you-can way, and it leaves you with
residual text messages of the park photoshoot. Editing the relevant files (you can see their names in the text you edited) to change the messages into something valid for both scenes, and/or duplicating and renaming them (and changing the references in text94.htm, of course) to have two sets of answers, one for each scenary, is easy enough and also left as an exercise for the reader

Not exactly the same, Felix. Your pics hack only ensures you'll always make all your shoots. But for her to also flash you, she needs to tie with exactly two shoots (including the first one she always makes). I simply replace the semi-random algorithm she uses with a "score the first time, miss the second" instruction.

My hack also simply removes the "miss" image map tag from the basket scenes, so you don't get to see weird spots in the basket (hey, wine, beer, whisky, small wonder you see them, anyway...):hic:

BTW, in your (excelent) walkthroughs, I find something missing; back from the beach, if you do the photoshoot and choose not to get her nude, you can actually return home to have further fun. A bug in the code (easy to correct by now, I guess) makes her appear in a bikini instead of the dress, though.

Back to the original question. I guess, given the favorable answer, I could compile all the hacks (and a few bugfixes) I've made, and upload it somewhere. But since I have no 3D software, I can not actually add new content; only implement diferent paths through the game. That means no hot lesbian orgy with Rebecca, Ariane and the store girl cosplaying French maids in bondage over a billiard table... unless someone actually makes all the needed pics

OK, I completely screwed up the beach scene and now (I'm no programmer) don't know how to get it back never mind get your hacks into it. Get to the beach and then given the choice of a romantic walk or a boatride, neither works. Was trying to fix not getting beach sex to work and obviously pasted something in the wrong place. Can you help?

Restore from backup

No, isn't a smug one-liner, is what I actually do when things get FUBAR. Usually the smug one-liner would be "What do you mean, 'what backup'?" meaning that people usually don't make backups, but given that you DO have a backup (right in ArianeB's website), you get spared of that.

As an educated guess, probably you pasted the code right before the words "function getdressed()", in the same line, instead of right before the LINE with said words. That, or you included the line I said not to include (or viceversa). Both things would cause no end of troubles to the code and make the Firefox hate you

Yeah, actually I didn't do the nude photoshoot at the beach in version 5.0 yet. But apparently it is exacly the same as in 4.8 that's why I leave it for the following walkthru.

But there are so many sidesteps with so many pictures that a complete guide would take a hundred pages I fear...

Erena, thanks, that worked. I had already done the strip club and the sex in bed slide show so I don't know where I went wrong -- obviously pasted SOMEthing in the wrong place. So, any suggestions on how to keep her from getting drunk and flaking out before we can have our way with her?

LeeJay, just open the file default.htm and find the function drinkup() which controls drunkness. Change the values, without touching the rest of the code, to something of your liking. You can also change the values of other functions below thatone to change foreplay, dance and/or swiming limits (but removing them completly is boring...)

On the other hand, changing the initial variable values (the array at the start of the file) is usually of little efect. Only one amusing silly example, if you set rebec = 1 and lose in the strip club, Ari always hooks with Reb instead of with the random guy even if Reb isn't with you

Given the interest that my silly hacks raised, and with a little help with the images some people made even though I didn't ask for it, I've gone all the way and compiled all the hacks and changes I made into a whole add-on for the game:

Of course you need to also have the original version 5.0 of the game in your hard drive to play, much like the Sharon version. (but not quite exactly the same, so I strongly suggest reading the readme file before starting to replace files and folders).

If someone finds any bug in the add-on, please tell me so I can fix it. Albeit I don't think I'll make more add-ons for this game (nope, not even if someone sends me a lot of hi-res pics of all the female characters of the game dressed as the Hentai Sailor Scouts. SPETIALLY if someone sends me that - I have to draw the line somewhere!)
