The "defend/train batted women" business means to still continue to fight "Good vs Evil" struggle. The "bin" ending is a failure one. Both Paul and Xara fail in the major goals of their lives which kept them motivated. Xara fails to capture Mortland, Paul fails to defend Chloe and they admit their failure, throw up the sponge and give in. So the "bin" seems pretty logical to me.

There are a couple of things going on with Xara's Outdoor Adventures, many of which have been said by others here.

In these paths, Paul and Xara are moving on with their lives. Paul has been helping battered women because he's a great guy, but also because he's felt guilty for leaving Chloe in High School. At this point, he's finally gotten over that and is ready to make a new life for himself. Xara hasn't known anything but conflict her entire life and is trying to forge a new path. Her throwing away her sword cane is really symbolic. Of course, there's a lot of room for "falling back to old ways" in their outdoor adventure company. Yeah, maybe most of the time they'll book anyone, but imagine special week-long retreats where they take a group of abused people and get them out into nature, help them find self-confidence, and maybe teach them how to disable an abusive boyfriend along the way...

All that said, the Outdoor Adventures images were Mortze's idea, and I'm pretty sure he did them for me because I'm a rock climber. (-:

Thanks for the welcome and the reply. I get where you (and others who replied to my inquiry) are coming from. For me, I just found Paul and Xara to have interesting lives and professions, so seeing them give it up to pursue something else disappointed me a bit. Nothing against rock climbing, it's just not as noble a thing to me as being a lawyer fighting for abused women or as badass as Xara being a warrior assassin training others. I wanted them to keep part of that going forward with them. But, I understand wanting to start over anew. And like you said, they could always come back to their "old ways" if the adventure company doesn't work out. Still, this is my favorite of your games, so I look forward to the next project you and Mortze are working on.

Great work, Tlaero and Mortze!
I enjoyed that game a lot, great graphics and I like the storyline.
There are of cause some logic breaks in the story and the characters, but that is also the case for every mainstream movie I know - porn movies as well. Key thing is always if the piece is entertaining and "Saving Chloe" clearly is.

I must admit even though there ample reason to despise Crow in Elsa-verse. She is a total psychotic evil bitch.

Yet she's also hot and adorable in her own way.

Especially in that scene for one of the bad endings in Saving Chloe. Where Paul kills Morland and Chloe double crosses Paul killing him an taking over the 'Family Business'.

You can't help but feel for Crow after Morlands dead and her pouting is adorable. That that bright cheerful smile makes you laugh when Chloe shoots Paul.

Her Dark shining moment was in last scenes in Finding Miranda when she's trying to turn Miranda to work for Morland.

As a Goth. FIVE stars for the graphics in that scene.


Maybe one day M &T you could revisit the Morland & Crow characters in a short. Call it Morland and Crow the early years.. lol Even though it's romance forged in hell. They are perfect and passionate couple for one another.. lol

Played through it again. just like my second play through of FM... I'm liking Chloe a little bit more. She's a strong character, just not cup of tea (Elsa is still my favorite).

I thought the free-roam was ok. I didn't expect it in one of your games, so it took me by surprise. Not a make or break thing for me. I play your (both of you) games because of the great stories, and the fantastic visuals.

My final thoughts on Saving Chloe...

I loved Chloe the first time I encountered her in Fade To Black: In RfJ. From the instant the character opens his eyes on that bed. I *knew* instantly where the scene was ultimately headed.

An in the dialogue from Chloe you can very easily pick up.

She is there not by her choice.
She is desperate for love. AND wishes she had someone as devoted to her as Marc is to Jessika.
That underneath the surface she's a good person.
And that her deepest fantasy is a normal life.

And finally you feel like screaming 'You don't have to do this.' Of course your not given that option the game.

Fade to Black left me very shaken. Not because the scene was so dark and ended. But because she Chloe is the one in of saving and redeeming. And the game doesn't give you that option.

There have been only two times in my entire life I've ever shed a tear for a fictional character.

Once for Han Solo and Leia when Solo got frozen in carbonite in Star Wars Empire Strikes Back.

An the second time was for Chloe in September 2017 and finally playing Cannon of 'Saving Chloe.' Seeing her in Paul's arms and Happy. Someplace she always wanted to be.

Not ashamed to say it either.

Because its a powerful fictional character. An that's a sign of great writing. The ability to bring your words and vision to life!

My favorite game character from the Elsa verse will always be Jessika.

But if were a real life hypothetical choice between a real life Jessika or Chloie and having to choice but one. … It would be tough! … But the choice would most likely be Chloe for that long term relationship. Because of what resides in her heart and what she dreams about. An that's being in her man's shirt and a whole house to entertain friends in. In other words normalcy.

I'm not sure if this has been answered yet but why didn't Mortland just kill Chloe as soon as he found out she is his blindspot because he seems like the type of person to do that. He didn't seem to care about her at all since he is pimped her out and it didn't look like he wanted a challenge since his goal is ultimate power with the least amount of resistance. Or am I just missing something here? He could have just used some random girls to do what Chloe did.

I would assume for the same reason we learned in the opening of Finding Miranda that Morland wouldn't just shoot Jessica.

If Jessica would have been shot. As Miranda points out it would be worse for his ultimate plan if he had.

Keeping in mind that Morland's power was to see the outcome of his path/plans before he would take it. Morland thought Chloe was just a screw up. His blind spot was that Chloe was actively working against him.

Thinking she was 'just a screw up' a failure. He had no need to shoot her. Instead just keep her out of the way. As he finally did when he basically dropped Chloe as an operative at the end of Finding Miranda.

Yours is an interesting question.

I don`t know if you know the detailed story of Oedipus. The oracle predicted what would have happened when Oedipus would have grown up. His father trying to prevent that from happening practically made it possible for that to happen. It sounds like a joke, but Ancient Greeks believed in predestination.

We can say the same thing about Mortland. He understands that she can ruin him but anyaway he thinks he can prevent that which actually in the end leads to his ruin. This miscalculation on Mortland`s part is practically Chloe`s power.

Re Chloe's power

In my opinion Morland's power works like that: he imagines a plan and sees its outcome, but he also knows that if Chloe is involved this outcome he sees might not be the actual one. And that includes killing her because obviously she would be involved. He doesn't know if she would escape the murder attempt, or if this murder would lead to he being actually arrested even if he's seeing otherwise. And this happens with every single decision about her. So he just accepts that having Chloe around and 'controlled' is a small risk he's willing to take. Morland thinks that giving Chloe some minor asignments which could end in a fail is better than making some other 'big' decisions about her. Problem is he can't imagine she's brave enough to operate on her own against him - and of course he cannot foresee that. On the other hand, when something goes wrong he would instantly suspect she's done something about it (as we see when Xara escapes from the dungeon - keeping her alive down there was a 'perfect' plan plotted by Morland in which Chloe was not initially involved, so when he sees Xara is free he knows it's thanks to Chloe). So Chloe must be quite careful to not interfere in other plans but her asignments. This way Morland would think that these failures are just a consequence of her lack of capabilities or 'backbone' and not a sabotage.

The way he abuses her shows this frustration because he has an awesome power but Chloe's mere existence means he'd never be 100% sure of his actions. But it's also a way to 'guarantee' her loyalty through fear - the only way he knows. Of course, he doesn't even imagine that this behaviour it's absolutely counterproductive and would lead to his own end, and that's because he'd never care about trying to understand how Chloe's mind works. Why would you do that when you never needed to care about other's possible reactions, because you've always known what these reactions will be? He just doesn't know how to treat people without using his power (Chloe says something like that on the final scene). He could have tried to, but then again nobody is perfect - and evil characters tend to be far less than perfect
