I had the same experience, my PC ran out of juice during the shaving sequence, and in the end I just triggered the next sequence shortcut to get rid of the brush and soap.

Perhaps a percentage meter would come in handy so that one can see what there is left to do...

Alos in the bathtub sequence the game 'hiccuped' a few times...
