Well, to try to assist I copied part of the page source code of a thread frame. The images required reside at aceboard.net

however FF cannot find aceboard.net!!

Reading between the lines in the confusion that exists on the aceboard support forum it seems to me that one of the aceboard founder members decided to leave and take his/her toys with him/her - unfortunately that included the aceboard.net server which hosts a lot of the images that aceboard forums use.

It appears that the images may be mirrored on aceboard.com although there is uncertainty as to how long that will stay the case.

The best advice to forum owners in the interim appears to be to change any reference to aceboard.net to point to the equivalent reference at aceboard.com - or that's how I read the situation at present

If that is the case then clients deserve some explanation/compensation.

Wonder what are the legalities in such situations where partnerships are dissolved?

Then too, when one has to cross international boundaries?

Since aceboard forums are free, I would suspect that there would be no compensation available - it's up to forum owners to protect themselves from the demise of free privately provided services like aceboard by making sure they have all necessary resources backed up on independent servers.

It would seem that aceboard is probably provided and maintained by just two private individuals - (William and Cyril?) - with a few others assisting out of interest

I have just detected an area where icons still need to be updated, the area may not we quite so obvious.

Firstly, if you choose to edit your own text and go to the Smileys you get a link "Plus de smileys" Although that link points to aceboard.fr, the icon links are to aceboard.net.

Now if you choose to cite and reply to a post the Smiley area has a link "More Smileys" and it currently goes nowhere.
