Rkshooter, I love your work and I know how you feel cuz I lost three(3) fingers in a table saw and it isn't easy to get used to not having them. I hope you make complete recovery or at least a good enough recovery and are able to continue with Milly, cuz I know there are alot of people that wish you the best including me.

rkshooter wrote : Well a bit of bad news, Saturday I got in an argument with one of my tablesaws, Needless to say I lost that argument, I spent the next 33 hours waiting to have surgery to repair me. Of course it would be my right hand and I am right handed. I find working my mouse difficult and slow. Hell of a way to get time off. Well I am trying to work half days to keep our business running and doing the paper work from home. It may take some time for me to get to Milly since the day to day is taking even more effort right now. Please be understanding that the most important thing right now is for me to prevent infection and further damage or loss to my limb. The hand may not work well right now but my mind is still developing the story when I take small breaks.

Hope you recover quickly RKS.

Rkshooter, if it could be a nice message for you, let me say: If I buy a knife for my use, everytime it would be not my own, as far as i had not been hitted by this Knife! I always are waiting for this happening. But be aware, that such things don't distract me from cooking!

@RKShooter I'll echo Rikwar and Greebo - glad to hear you're feeling better.

For what it's worth, I've had enough experience with such matters to know that physical therapy is WELL worth the time and effort you put into it. If your doctor doesn't suggest it, I'd be inclined to ask. If it has already been recommended, go for it with enthusiasm - it can make a BIG difference in how well things work in the long run.
When it comes to binary, there are 10 kinds of people - those who get and those who don't!

According to Dick Cheyney there are:
Known knowns
Known unknowns
Unknown knowns
And unknown unknowns.
I suspect that the answer to your question lies in the fourth category and that even RKS himself doesn't know the answer yet. The children's cry of "Are we nearly there yet?" seldom receives a meaningful reply in the Lagoon.

If you could trouble yourself to read the previous page of this thread you would find the reason for the delay.

So, are there any updates as to the condition of Rkshooter's hand? While I freely admit that part of it's a personal desire to see what Milly's going to be getting up to with the final stages of her training (not to mention what Ben's going to be "getting into", I'm also interested in seeing how RK's healing. A major injury like that needs all the time to heal you can give it-we'll most definitely be thinking about you until you get back! Feel better, man.
