When you write a new post, at the screen bottom, the box "notify me when a reply is posted " is checked off by defect, you need to change it before to send the post.
When the post is already sent, you can change that by going in the topic and choosing "unsubscribe topic" or "subscrib topic"

Better than the solution pointed by Shark (sorry Shark ):
1.- Go to your User Control Panel
2.- On your left choose Edit posting defaults
3.- In front of Notify me upon replies by default: choose "No", instead of "Yes".

In this way, you'll stop receiving such e-mails, but, if in a particular case you wish to receive it you can - at the end of your post - check the box Notify me when a reply is posted.

Maybe, just maybe, Shark needed something, had to let down the imposed "locks" for the task, and you got in when the "window" was open?

I don't think so, since you can still modify your profile on Aceboard, and change your avatar to the ones in the various galleries. I'm going to stick with my anti-hot-linking theory.

3. The old site is in lock-down except for a few "windows" that Shark has allowed open. Hence there may be a security breach then that was open.

Thanks! I ended up d/l it to my computer from the old board & uploading it to this board. 30 seconds, no biggie!
