Unfortunately several of us here can attest to similar recent acts in our own countries, I'll cite Canada, Boston, and Sydney (Australia).
That is not to dismiss such events at the Lockerbee bombing, London Underground, Twin Towers, and the many that we barely see reported with much gravity in our own local media, like India, Pakistan, Yemen, and certainly Iraq.
That is not to minimalise Rikwar's comment but to consider it in a more global perspective (which he is obviously in his thoughts). Yes, when we can negotiate peace within our own households and extend that dipolmacy into our local communities, and then farther abroad, reconciling our differences, then I see hope for my grandchildren's offspring. It will be a long journey.
Squeaky is clean, I'm just a tad messy!
