Texting - Mobile Phones

An entry in a forum which I just referenced discussed the "autocorrect" feature the comes with mobile phones (haven't had my computer do anything like what I saw there).

Before I go there, many, many years ago I was at my parents' place (and I have heard this tendered as a TV joke over recent years). My sister was showing her very young son a book of various animals with just their names applied as a label. "Look at the testicles on the octopus."

Ok, I don't have a mobile, I use my wife's when travelling but SMS?, never!
