Jelq

Has anyone here that did or still does Jelq, and if it works? I read a lot about, but I'm not quite sure.

I understand it works but is very time consuming and rather boring as a result. There is detailed info about it on the web - I've tried it out of interest but didn't keep it up!
(I've also incorporated it into a couple of stories I wrote a while back.)
