Hi Hannah,

All those are great songs. In the US, it seems like every town has a radio station that goes 24/7 Christmas songs from Black Friday to Christmas. Heck Sirius/XM has at least three such channels for their subscribers. The popular songs like you posted are played 10 times a day. Adding to your list, here's a bopping song from the Jackson 5:

I was looking for my wife a specific Youtube video of Michael W. Smith's Christmastime. I had sung the song at my church one Christmas Eve. The performance track had a 1:40 instrumental lead-in which would have been awkward for me to just stand there. So I found a video on Youtube, downloaded it, edited it by overlaying the audio with the performance track and then saved as a mp4. This allowed the video to be projected on screen in a darken church while I stood on the dark stage. When the 1:40 mark hit the stage lights came on and I did my part. It was pretty cool and it allow the audience to choose between watching the video or looking at my mug. My wife said it went well, but of course, she's a little partial. :roi:

Anyway, while looking for the video, I found a couple where Michael W. Smith had a connection with former US President George HW Bush. First video, in 1989, he performed Christmas song "Gloria" at the Kennedy Center when Bush was president and today he perform his epic song "Friends" at Mr. Bush's funeral. Here are the links for all three:

This is such a great song, and is as relevant now as it was in 1984.

Great song. I remember when it came out and was surprised Bob Geldof lead the effort. I only knew of him from the Boomtown Rat's song "I Don't Like Mondays" which I would play on the radio during my college days. Kudos to him for his vision for not only creating Band Aid, but also Live Aid which I have the say British part was much better than the US.

Greg Lake from King Crimson and Emerson, Lake and Palmer made a Christmas song which made it to #2 on the UK Singles Charts only to held from the top by Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. The song, "I Believe In Father Christian" is a nice song, but I didn't think much of it. That is until I saw this live version he played in a church in 2006. The dual acoustic guitars with Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull playing the flute is breathtaking.

The video quality is not great, but doable. Using headphones seems to be the best way to listen. You can skip the intro by jumping to the 36 second mark.

Two last Christmas videos for this year on a fun note:

Here's one with a cute animation of The Drifter's version of "White Christmas"

Here's a spoof of "I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause" which was a favorite on the Doctor Demento and morning drive radio shows in the US.

I guess that sort of filming is why in the early 2000s I was no longer allowed to even video my son in BJA Judo Competitions -- the BJA was concerned about the exploitation of the videoing of youngsters of both sexes! It's one thing when the participants are aware and in agreement but this sort of voyeurism is just wrong!
