how would you judge the quality???quality is in the beholder...everyone can see a 'quality' of a post differently...

well you need to ask yourself, is rank actually important???and if it is should you get something from the rank besides a title???at the Lagoon rank is just a type of title(absolutely nothing wrong with that)...the only thing that you might want to attach to rank is that Pilot Fishes shouldn't be allowed to make new topics...that could help to slow down/stop the spammers(well until they rank up that is), but other then that i like the title aspects of things...

Tu as mis le doigt sur la bléssure! Pour moi le "ranking" c'est la me*de! Je déteste la compétition, sauf avec moi-même: éssayer chaqye jour d'être mieux que je fus hier! Voilà!

Many maritime "critters" could have been given label rankings here.

I was just thinking, flying fish! But no!!!

"The Flattered Flying Fish", by Emile Rieu.

Said the Shark to the Flying Fish over the phone;
"Will you join me tonight?, For I'm dining alone.
Let me order a nice little dinner for two,
And come as you are in your shimmering blue!"
Said the Flying Fish: "Fancy remembering me,
And the dress that I wore to the porpoise's tea!"
"How could I forget?" said the Shark in his guile;
"I'll expect you at eight!",and rang off with a smile.

She has powdered her nose, she has put on her things;
She is off with one flap of her luminous wings....

Oh! little one, lovely, light-hearted and vain,
The Moon will not shine on your beauty again!

I remember it from my primary school years, when I was never "blonde" or had a training rink for "head bugs"!!!

I think I know why flying fish are not available, too succulent on the Shark's palate!

(I doubt that the text is completely true to the poet, it was not as I recall from my recollection when I 'googled' it - ie, have edited)
Squeaky is clean, I'm just a tad messy!

This reminds me to a poem of Christian Morgenstern, titled "Fishes Night-song"

I'm unsure how Morgenstern’s “Fisches Nachtgesang” can be claimed to be a poem unless one has been to 'school' with the fishes and has been taught by an expert in 'fish poetry' - my Online Translator doesn't seem to recognise the dialect even, let alone what scansion it might have. More likely to be music - because I think I see scales there!

Ah, the serendipity of the interwebs! When I was turning over the virtual dustbins in Google Alley looking for the bones of this, I stumbled across this gem:

“Last year I went fishing with Salvador Dali. He was using a dotted line. He caught every other fish.”
- Steven Wright
“Anyone who believes what a cat tells him deserves all he gets.”
