If Man U win 10-0 then they deserve to be first however unlikely it is.

Chelsea games may have been easy but if you remeber Wigan beat Chelsea last year & West Brom beat Sunderland yesterday so the teams they played arn't that bad.

Craven Cottage is a tough ground these days. A draw seemed a fair result after the second half, when Fulham turned it on. They could have had luck go against them with a dodgy penalty call and a soft OG, but both hurdles were compensated for soon enough.

Special mention to Stockdale, though - that guy was immense, considering his relative youth. Too early to tell, but it looks like Fulham may not miss Schwarzer that much if he leaves. VDS had the save of the day, though.

Exciting weekend for futbol!

- Barca lose 0-2 to newly promoted Hercules at the Nou Camp! This slip-up lets Real Madrid go ahead in La Liga by 1 point.

- Everton slam in 2 goals in the last 2 minutes to snatch a 3-3 draw at Goodison Park! Throwing away games right at the end used to be Arsenal's act, looks like Man U might have borrowed it for a bit.

- After butting heads with Bolton, Arsenal come away with a 4-1 win at home, albeit against 10 men. Fabregas and Rosicky on form with some outrageous assists.

- Blackpool dominate Newcastle 0-2 at St James Park to jump their way to 4th in the EPL table!

- Van Damme scores for Wolves! That's Jelle, not Jean-Claude (though JCVD would have been a beast in the EPL, I'm thinking a roundhouse defender). However, Fulham get the win by pulling back 2 goals through new guy Dembele, the second coming in the dying minutes. Maybe there's still hope for them, even with the shock injury to Zamora.

- Gazillion guzzling Man City needed Vieira to scrape a 1-1 tie with Blackburn, after a defensive howler let the visitors take the lead.

- Juventus ties with Sampdoria in a 3-3 goal thriller!

- Milan lose 0-2 to Cesena. Ibrahimovic penalty miss!

In fact, the whole Serie A table looks crazy as of now. Here's the top 6:

1. Chievo Verona
2. Cagliari
3. Sampdoria
3. Cesena
5. Inter Milan
6. AC Milan

Last year's title contenders Roma are now second last.

Looks like Valencia is out for a while after that knock he picked up vs the Rangers. Surgery reportedly went well, so hopefully he ought to be back in action before too long.

In brighter news (at least for me), Arsenal showed no mercy to Sporting Braga, their little brother club from Portugal, and wallop 6 goals in. Their rampant front line tore apart a defense that noticeably grew more dejected with every goal that went in.

Good points to take away: Chamakh finally scores for Arsenal with his feet! He's proving to be just what the team needed - a strong target man up front that works his ass off to get the ball. Has to be the best value-for-money acquisition this season.

Wilshere is starting to settle into the CM role, letting Cesc wander further up and get those devastating passes in.

Vela's finishing is getting way sharp. Hope he starts getting those clutch goals now, instead of just scoring when we're already leading by a mile.

Defence weren't really tested much, but when they were, they snuffed out most chances. Squillaci has damn good positional sense and Koscielny looks to be improving as well. Almunia didn't look too bad either, come to think of it.

Worrisome points: Song needs to tighten up his distribution, and Arshavin needs to get some of his initial mojo back. Loose passes in midfield will be our undoing against a good counterattacking team. Overall, this was more like a training match than a real fight. There'll be tougher tests to come soon enough.

arsenal did do very well, however they were lucky with their opposition...ranges parked a bus in front of the goal,10 men in thei half almost all the time, making attacking extremely difficult for man. u...only good news from that match was ferdinand's return, although like arsenal,he wasn't tested.

i wouldn't worry about arsenal's passing,it rarely fails them, almunia and arshavin are the biggest worries, almunia because...he sucks, and arshavin because when he plays well,he's great, but when he plays poorly,he's pretty horrible.

chelsea won well, but they were also against a rubbish side...defence was terrible, other team should have scored more

man. u. versus liverpool on sunday, chicharito to score a hat-trick,rooney to get mugged and torres gets injured again

Liverpool are having their worst run in as long as I can remember. At least H&G are out, let's see if Henry and NESV turn out to be better owners.

Man U can't stop throwing leads, looks like.

Arsenal doing so-so against the smaller teams. Though it was amusing to see them give as good as they got against the Brummies. If only Jackie boy had kept a cooler head...

Chelsea probably the best of the lot, but still kept in check now and then.

Man City looking to put up a good performance this season.

Have to give it up for Blackpool, though. Those guys have been playing their asses off after their early defeats.
