How can you tell? This is the Internet. I can appear as any sex or age. If I quietly watch your posts within a short period I can even find a photo that you think looks like your ideal mate. Turn off the computer and find somewhere women frequent. From my own experience I'd recommend somewhere other than a bar. I do not have any lasting friendships originating in a bar. There is little as intolerable as being the only sober person in the midst of a crowd of drunks.

In my younger days, Bars or Nightclubs (especially located near college campuses or military installations) are where Women went to. LRM is correct, long lasting relationships did not occur for me as a result of meeting someone in a Bar. Short-term relationships....well that is another story!

Small parties or "meet and greet" parties that some apartment/condo locations have are good places to meet interesting companions.
