Unforgettable Dinner v2.02 Updated october/2021

Hi friends,

One year and half ago, I posted my first rudimentary game, Afternoon to Remember, in the projects section in other to get help from other developers and improve the game system.

Today I'm here to thank for all advices, as they allowed me to reach the end of the second project, Unforgettable Dinner:



The story take place one week later from the party on Afternoon to Remember, that's why we referer to it as chapter 2. The writer also created 3 distinctivy contexts: the dinner preparation, the dinner and the after dinner (boss game). For development purposes we label these contexts as phases. Today we made public the complete Chapter 2 Phase 1 - The dinner preparation. Just for comparison, Afternoon to Remember has 406 images, while this release has 1690 images.

The resume: you are middle age man, called Jim, that went to a party in a co-worker house a week ago.There you a met a lovely girl named Kayleigh, that prepared part of the party's food. Obstinate in expanding his contact with the girl, Jim decide to hire her to prepare a dinner for his boss and co-workers on his house. The girl is now on your door, together with her mother and the time is running. What could possibly happen during a innocent dinner's preparation?

Language: available on English(US) and Portuguese(BR). We are trying to also produce translations for german, japanese, spanish and french.

Phase 2 already have 984 images, totalizing 2.674 images.

v0.14 changes:
This version is the 3rd main branch for Phase 2, this time you will put Kayleigh and Ellyce in the edge of the table where a teasing game will take place.

Recalling the color of the buttons:
Blue - regular option
Orange - new option in the current release
Red - option unavailable due access level
Grey - option not implemented yet

The new version is already available in English and Portuguese.

I usually don't speak about paid content through public announcements, but I will make an exception now. If you like the content on this update, I advice you to try to last extra scene (only on online version) with the suggestive name "Kayleigh Action".

Extra scenes are short, about 20 frames, we don't have much room to elaborate a decent text, however the action is there with good images. I remind you that when ordering a scene, it is possible for a user to request the extension of an existing extra scene. So the scene would have 40 images for example. You can also take a scene from the main story and give a different ending to it if you want.

V0.15 Changes:
- Added 212 images on the fourth and last branch. Now you will be able to get some from your boss' wife.
- New visited scenes counter. Just a simple line on the game, but a lot of work behind. If you go to "Settings" now you will be able to see how many images there are in the game and how much of them you already visited. Unfortunately we can't count based on your previous plays, it's a nice change to revisit all options, realize how much the game was grow.
- Added a pagination on the save/load menus, this mean that now the number of saves went from 6 to 66! Something that several users have asked in the past.
- Added a button to jump direct for Phase 2 on the beginning.
- Created a new section called "Instructions" that will explain how the game works.
This added 11 new images with instructions in 3 different sizes and 2 languages = 66 images.
- Created a new section called "Characters" with a nice description that MM made for each character on Unforgettable Dinner and Afternoon to Remember. I found the section itself great, but it also opens new possibilities like a pictures or movies to be unblocked during the playthrough. I made different profile pictures for small, medium and large screens.
This added 12 new images in 3 different sizes and 2 languages, more 1 selection image = 73 images.

The new version is already available in English and Portuguese.

Phase Three V0.21 became public.



The last phase is finally here. Although this version don't have sexual content due to the long introduction, it opened a way for us to deliver interesting sexual scenes on the next version. V0.22 will be about sexual actions on the same path, for v0.23 maybe we will work on one of the others paths. This month we added a new extra scene called "From User: dominatrix" that has hot sex scene with the girls on a different style.

Just noticed this and thought I would take a look. Ran into a few issues before I've gotten around to actual playing.

1. The 768px download link points to version 0.17, not 0.21 like the two other downloads.
2. Started up the game and the images were dead-linked. I eventually discovered that the game tries to be "smart." It determines the size of the window and picks an image size accordingly. That may work great if one downloads both sets of pics (although why I'd want to waste bandwidth downloading every image twice I'm not sure). Most times the smaller images are good enough in games and especially with a game I've never tried, I grab the smallest download I can to try it. I would suggest having the code check to see if both image sets exist and if not then use the one that does exist. But putting in a user prompt/setting right at the beginning to pick which image set to use would work also. As it is now I had to figure out the problem myself (meaning I had to dive into the code which plenty of players will not do) and then scale my window down small enough so that it switched to using the second set.
3. Image aspect ratio and scaling... Once I figured out that I needed to make my window small to see any images I then found that the image had a very skewed aspect. I had to play around with my window size to eventually make the images look okay. I can appreciate the idea of wanting to make an image fill the space available, but, at least for my personal tastes, I'd prefer image aspect to be maintained.

My apologies, the link 768px was pointing to the previous version, v0.17 was a test and there image selector was messing the screen, I fixed the problems on v0.21.

Now 768px will show a small image even on large screens, 1920px will shrink to fit on any size of screen.

I will try to summarize:
1. The introduction is being redone, 3 scenes were replaced on this release, some animations included.

2. After a quick test, I decide to work with webp/ogv file formats, as some users had problems, I generate a version keeping jpg/mp4. I won't generate packages for different sizes. Here are the links.

3. Languages. After several failures to get support adding new language options, I decided to include another langagues generated by Google translator. The intention is not to deliver a final product, but to allowed users to cooperate to refine those languages. Here is the list:

- Brazilian Portuguese (português): translated by me, native speaker.
- German (Deutsche) - google automatic translation.
- French (Français) - google automatic translation.
- Russian (русский) - google automatic translation.
- Spanish (Español) - google automatic translation (although for what it could be understood in portuguese, it' seems fine).

4. Another extra scene is done and it was submitted to user evaluation, I will upload as soon as he approves.
