I have no idea what you are doing wrong. I just downloaded it myself and opened it. Works fine, even on another computer.

Try to change some settings in the settings.exe
Maybe it helps?!

Hi Eden... I was getting the same error as Calvin and the game also run really slow and choppy for me, after changing the setting to windowed and DirektX9 everything runs smoothly.....Maybe youre "supercomputer" it to superior to os other immortals ones to run the game in its highest setting, or it has some program that we don't....My only "problem" now is that I cant read the bottom line of text in the game, because the window is too large for my screen and I cant change it, or at least im to stupid to know how

It's an alright game except for a couple of things. There's no way to close/exit the game until you finish it in full screen mode. I literally had to use the task manager in Windows 10 to close it, then start over in Window mode to make it easier to play. You should offer the option to go to save points and go back to certain days after they've been cleared instead of having to play the whole thing from start to finish. The endings all don't seem to serve much of a purpose as you still have the same ultimate finish one way or another. There should be some way to at least try for a good end versus a bad one. Those are my thoughts on it anyway. Like I said it was a good effort in general, there are just places where it could be tweaked.

I thought we stopped assuming Windows users were running as Administrator a decade ago.

My Norton keeps quarantining the .exe, so I've given up trying to play it.

I've tried all the things I did to force it to accept Tlaero's Adventure Creator environment, but to no avail.

My settings file, the .exe one, is 0 kb and I can't run it, even as administrator.
Win says to ask the developer a compatible version...

2,5 mb and 5 mb respectively should be, so you have the answer now, your av is deleting your files or you have downloaded a corrupt file

I can only guess that it is the virus scanner, but the EXE is free from it, see here:
