As kexter said, more like 12, if anyone stays interested that long. Actually, it's more likely that the process will get faster over time as the primary bottleneck is rendering images. If I could get an artist to sign up that could match the image style of BEW, it would cut the total time down to 6 years with current technology. Two artists, maybe 4 years. 4 artists, maybe 3 years. 12 Artists...well maybe back to 12 years at that point. Had a great candidate once to help out with the rendering, but they faded away on the animation test, unfortunately. That's a pity because they aced the other tests.

Personally, since You said that game would be complete without inclusion of Azumi, Jasmine, etc. [all those DLC's kexter mentioned] I wouldn't mind if their inclusion into the game is left for the end, once we get 3 full seasons, so they could became true "expansion packs" for complete game. Especially if doing that would mean we get the "full" story in 10 years instead of 12.

Also, we can only hope that software used to render images get improved over the years which might also reduce time needed. I admit that I never did any image rendering so I have no clue as to how much better [and faster] is software used today as opposed to one used 3-4 years ago, but I would expect that it did improve and made some things easier and faster.

Technically, if the voting always followed a single path, the full story for one path could be experienced much more quickly. For example, On the next round, voting for the Bar Branch, followed by a vote for, say, the Bar Date, and then for the Emily related Season 1 Endings in the next vote could finish a full path through season 1 in three voting periods. Follow that up with another 5 votes along a single path for Season 2, and similar for season 3.... Although doing that will miss out on a lot of interesting content, and most season 2 and 3 would feel artificially linear. I'll likely require a certain percentage of a season to be complete before I start allowing votes for the next season content, just to keep later content interesting and variable. The main key is that I likely won't reduce the amount of time between episodes, but instead will increase the content per episode.

What that means is that season 3 may end up being only 5 or 6 episodes instead of 15. With each episode being 4 months average apart, but each with 3 episodes worth of today's content.

Basically, as throughput (or velocity if you are on the Agile bandwagon) goes up, it's more likely that episode size will increase rather than episodes being released faster. But that still means that the overall content would be delivered faster.

I am aware of that and I think we misunderstood each other [probably due to English not being my first language]... what I was referring to when talking about including Azumi, Jasmine, etc. was your comment from several pages back where you mentioned how game would be complete even without them and that including them is basically promoting them from supporting character to main character, adding their story to overall game. I think you even mentioned that it's possible they never get included.

So as much as I'm curious about Azumi and would like to find out more about her, I wouldn't mind if we don't get her "inclusion pack" until season 3 is complete and we got the full story for all of the 5 [I think it's 5] main characters.

Nope, we didn't misunderstand. I just went on about something else and forgot to address your original comment! Sorry about that! :)

That's true, that the three inclusion characters can be added at any time, or not at all. Azumi won't be up for another vote for a while. Basically, not until there is another Azumi branch in a future episode. It really comes down to the voting though.

So here is another example of why I'm geeking out a bit and really hoping to be able to realistically switch over to DAZ iRay based rendering. Can you tell which is iRay and which is the current render method?

It IS pretty obvious that B is the iRay one.

One other thing that I didn't understand from your previous messages. These artists that were awesome until video came up, why can't they help you just with the still images? I mean, as I understand it, you would appreciate any help with the rendering, right?

Yep. Really no contest between the two images.

As for the artist, I gave basically the final test task, to render an animation, and poof. Never saw or heard from them again. Hopefully everything is ok with them. I actually didn't care if the animation came back as crap. I could have done those while the artist took care of the stills.

I don't know much about Vray, but from what little I do know, it's very similar, made by Nvidia, and it's free along with the free DAZ Studio software. :)
