Squeeky asked me to start a topic with information about how to get free (legal) assets to use in DAZ 3D and Poser.

I'll try to avoid postings to stuff that is temporarily free.

Since buying hair for DAZ models tends to run into money, I'll start this off with a link to the DAZ freebies forum for Hair and hair related items.

Many of the freebies in this thread and the ones below have end user license agreements (EULA).
Some of them prohibit use for commercial projects (as in you can't use this in your game if you're going to sell it). Some may require you to pay the creator when you use it in a project that you will sell. Also, many prohibit using the freebies in "Second Life".

When I started out, I found MalePoserotica's page of freebies very useful.

Adam Thwaites's freebie pages aren't the easiest to navigate, but he has a huge number of simple props and poses.

http://fast3d.co.uk/ is a very good source for props that won't take a lot of memory but will do a lot of work.

The following sites don't have a lot, but you can find a few useful things:
PoserAddicts has a small selection of freeware.
There's a tiny bit of useful free stuff on Renderotica.
