I like AG2 more than AG3. The girl has more personality and the environment is more interesting.

In AG3 you can have up to 5 girls, but you can only do one at a time, no three-ways, etc. And like I said, the girls and the environment are not as interesting as in AG2.

I only have the original AG3. I haven't bothered installing the add-on. From what I have seen, it wouldn't address the functions I am dissatisfied with.

As of right now, I am with Franco on this. Though I think the world is pretty cool in it's elaboration.

I haven't even had that much success with the girls I have put in -- I hold hands and hug and go places with any of the girls, have meals with them as well and cuddle on the couch -- but the emotion level never changes from blue (no interest) to green (friends) or above.

I mean, I like this aspect more than just "Choose a location and make it with your lady" like in AG2, but at the same time - it's a little more difficult than I expected? Or am I doing something wrong (and I don't want to add traits that would make it simple to achieve things)

I have reached a stage where I have three "red" and two "green" girls in the same world. It has got to the point where they will come and seek me out if I leave them alone for long, interact with each other, fight each other for my attention and change to "yellow" (jealous) mode (where they either sulk or become aggressive in seeking attention).

Several extra activities were added with hannari (AG3+) There is a lot of help in the AG3 wiki (ecchi mode)

Of course if you choose the "Lewd" trait, you can do them right away. If you don't want to use that trait, here are some things that worked for me:

1. The "U" personality is the easiest to do. I think you get 12 love points for every minute with her, only 6 points (or less) with the others.

2. Walk around with the girl, go to the temple, the beach, into the school holding hands all the time. Then keep kissing her over and over, about 10 times, walk around some more, then kiss her about ten times again. If you do all that she will let you screw her. She might turn to blue or red while you are kissing her.

3. Make sure the girl comes a lot. Do oral sex on her before intercourse until she comes. You can bring the girl to several orgasms with oral sex at one encounter.

4 When you are screwing her, hold down the left mouse button. Neither you nor the girl can come while the button is depressed. You have to keep screwing a long time (several minutes) before she comes, especially the first time.

When you let up on the button, you will probably come, she might or might not. You can do her again right away and keep screwing until the time limit runs out. Even if she didn't come at first, her arounsal level will stay at the same level, so if you screw her again right away, you can probably make her come then.

If you keep screwing her and making her come as much as you can, she will love you.

5. Instead of the mouse wheel, if you want you can vary the screwing tempo using the plus and minus keys on the number pad of your keyboard. Sometimes it's easier to use those keys. Don't forget to try moving your screwing tempo down as well as up. Just keep trying things till you find what works.

Well, it's a twisted mess. The download is huge, and the mod's only seem to work for v1.03 -- but the download in the links I followed is for v1.5.

After spending hours on this I still have Japanese coming up and I have no idea which step in the instructions I screwed up. The "help" is full of dead and recursive links. The installer I downloaded also said you still need the original DVD or CD set, and you must be running the Japanese version of Windows.

I don't think any game could be worth this much effort.

@jimmyp: If you patiently follow the links in Artemis' post you can find some screen-shots. If you read the Wiki(s) and game threads, maybe you can figure it out -- I gave up.

btw: You do have to register at hongfire.

D. Willy, Yeah, I can understand some of your confustion. I only have 1.3, never bothered upgrading because I'm not that crazy about the game. Like I said,I prefer AG2. I didn't have that much trouble installing AG3 (or AG2), installing the mods and getting the English menus, etc.

I recall reading on Hongfire that if you upgrade to AG3 v. 1.5 you need to install new menu mods, etc. I think they're easily available there. I have no problem registering on Hongfire, it's just like here, anonymous. You can read the postings without registering, and I believe you can also download without registering. You only need to register if you want to post, I think.

You don't need Japanese Windows, but you need to change your language preferences so the system can display Japanese characters. That wasn't hard, just going through a couple of Windows menus. I think you need to do that for AG2 also, and for nearly all Japanese games.

Where I was screwing up was with the Illusion Wizard. Once I got the right mods (the .7z files, not the .rar) in the right place, everything worked.

I went back through Artemis' 2 links and rereading the 2nd one was my key. The [translation+uncensor] mod is the one that worked.

This game will take some time to get used to the movement and all of the options. Whether it's a good game or not, at least it looks like it will eat up lot's of my "free" time.

@Artemis: I don't know whether to thank you or curse you ;-)

Once I got AG3 running, it is addicting. I've now installed the English subs and quite a few of the mods and have created three virtual worlds filled with some virtual girls that I've made to look like some women "friends" who would be very upset if they ever found these worlds... Dreams are made of such!

This is a way cool game with lot's of very talented and creative people doing some terrific mod work for free.

BTW, @Franco, I tried to get AG2 running but it doesn't seem to like Vista and I couldn't find a Vista patch that fixed it. Oh, well.
