I saw topics with old DOS games.
There is a Spanish site where you can download old DOS or W95 games, just with registration and without any tricks or payment.
http://www.ellosnuncaloharian.com/
Most of them translated to English. You can find the Jast games, etc.
Really I think that DOSBox is quite complicated to use.
Try D-fend, that has DOSBox inside, you can free download D-fend in
http://dfendreloaded.sourceforge.net/
Enjoy

Now there's an understatement! I don't even try DOSBox anymore because of the difficulty. I hope this works better.

Thanks for the link.

Hi Mimailia, in the web site of D-fend, you can find several freeware or shareware software that upon D-fend open code, offer others options to DOSBox, even in Java.
I had some problems with W95 implementation, so look the other options, if you wish. But for DOS D-fend is really good and works perfect. Just choose the automatic option!
Many times W95 games opens directly, at least in XP.
There are very good games, very light, some Kb only, that perhaps should learn to a lot of people, what erotic games should be!

In,
http://holyfile.com/?top50
you can find several other DOS or W95 games, like Cobra, JAST, Leisure Suit Larry games, etc. The free download is temporally stopped for server implementation, but the page works!
But the ellosnuncaloharian is a better site, even if they don't have a lot. Jast games, as an example, are several hours games, with save options, etc., with excellent graphics.
When you open ellosnuncaloharian choose Juegos> Lista de Generos (in Menú Juegos options)> Adultos, where you can navigate.
If you don't read Spanish, use a translator, normally the observations for versions, install and patches are quite important.

Hi Superfly,
Free costs an effort, if you like to pay just go to
http://www.jastusa.com/Merchant2/mercha ... ry_Code=JU
and pay, and you don't have even to suffer with DOSBox or D-fend or translations.
These are erotic games, quite strong, but not exactly porno games, I must say.
But in this page just above you can have some pictures of what you get, if you reach the goals! These are games, not videos! But so good that even now they make re-editions, with compatibility with modern OS.
Superior graphics, in my humble opinion.
...
Ça vaut un petit effort, quand même, non ?

What's complicated about dosbox?
Maybe I'm too used to command line interfaces.

I was going to ask exactly the same question!

Coder, that's sadly the point. Kids today don't know what a command line is anymore. I even remember someone seeing the DOS prompt and asking "how do I bring the Start menu from here?".

On the other hand, old-timers like us from the Heroic Age of protected mode MS-DOS (Doom, anyone?) feel that our left hands are dying out from lack of use in this modem-based GUI age... and please, no crude jokes here =P

I use linux. :) I can do almost everything from the commandline.

And Erana, right handed guys won't use their left hand for satisfaction.

And I remember Doom. I had dos 6 with a menu for extended or expanded memory, optional driver for cd or the very minimum for some games which required allmost all of the 640K,

Hi big heads,
When Bill English develop the first commercial mouse in Xerox in 1972, and Gary Kildall Digital Research delivered the first commercial GEM Windows for CP/M and later for DOS, in the eighties, I was really glad. I worked with the wonderful GEM in DOS, about the same years of first graphical interfaces for Apple.
In computers, developments tried always to reach a graphical environment and a click or a finger touchscreen, obviously to avoid long series of codes lines.
Be obliged to work with command lines is just like eating soup with a fork.
Unfortunately I was obliged to work with lots of command lines in DR CP/M, Digital VMS, Unix and DOS, but if D-Fend give us a free graphical environment open code for DOSBox, why you want to minimize this effort?
Please be correct with users!
What do you call a Computer Game? I think that it is just a graphical environment for a story, or to reach goals! Or I am wrong?
I'm not a kid, fellows!

Both have their benefits. You can do a lot of things faster on a commandline faster than in a gui. Besides using your keyboard is healthier.
Be obliged to work with command lines is just like eating soup with a fork.

Saying that means you don't know the power of the command line very well. That's the whole point I guess. To be able to use it's full power, you need to learn some and it's more complicated than just clicking.

Just FYI: The chinese eat their soup with chopsticks and it's just as easy a using a spoon. That is for chinese soup.

Saying all this doesn't mean others can't use D-Fend. For me it just has little benefit.

Major flaw for D-FEND: it's for windows followers only. :/

Than you have to think for yourself. :)
