these old 1980-1995 in the most do they work on vista?, which i belive has no DOS background.

If it doesn't run, try this:

Go to

Read the official tutorial, then go here:
http://www.dosbox.com/download.php?main=1

and download the version for Windows that they claim working on Vista 32 and 64bits.

The good news is that this puppy (DOSBox) has versions for several operating systems, including MAC and Linux.

Enjoy the games made for the last real operating system built by M$oft!
