This release contains the adult version (alcohol use, sex scenes) and PG version.
Please be advised that, while the adult version is sexually explicit, this is NOT a fuck fest. My purpose is to tell a story.

In 1660, the privateer Captain Ted Reynolds is summoned to the palace of the Governor of the Caribbean island of Sint Eustatius (using the Dutch spelling). The Governor wants Captain Reynolds to find his niece, who went missing on a voyage from Bonaire to Sint Eustatius.
Captain Reynolds and his crew will encounter pirates, a beautiful shipwrecked maiden, a sexy female privateer (or is she really a pirate), a reluctant merchant, a playboy governor, and a sinister nobleman.
The adventures you have and the ending you get depend on choices you make. Playing time is about 45 minutes.

System requirements: A web browser that is capable of playing HTML 5. This has been tested using Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer 11 on a PC running Windows 7. It was also tested on a MAC system and on a Linux system (Firefox, Opera and Chromium). Conversion used techniques developed by kexter. :D

Known issues:
1. There are screen size and save/load misalignment issues with Internet Explorer 11. While the game is playable, I recommend you use another browser.
2. On a Linux system using Chrome, you might get a blank black screen. This can be fixed by telling Chrome to allow the game to set local data.
3. Depending on your browser and browser settings, save game information may disappear when you close your browser.


Note: Rapidly clicking to skip dialog may cause the VN to crash, or skip visuals.

A question: is there a way to know what ammunitions to use during naval battles? Besides try with luck and try again.

Hey fleet, how about providing a toggle for the music? Sound effects like cannon I don't mind, but short loop loud "atmospheric" music can easily become very irritating, and the main computer sound is necessary for warnings and other tabs and apps.

By the way
the first battle armament choice is unrealistic -- surely round shot should be prime choice for initial distance salvoes, followed by chain shot to take out the masts when close enough with grape shot to injure the enemy deck hands and those steering if they persist?

My initial design of the sea battles had the player given a one in nine chance of winning. Several of my Beta testers said the sea battles were too hard. I didn't want to make the sea battles too easy, so I changed them.
There is a page immediately before each sea battle that gives advice on which ammo works best with specific areas of the enemy ship. By following the advice, it should not take more than three attempts to defeat the pirate ships (one chance out of three to win). Just in case the player did lose the sea battle and failed to save the game, I added a replay sea battle button.

Nice game, played it fully beginning to all endings with no hassle.

Artwork on guys and girls was nice, general scene artwork was nice, animation was smooth, the part where he cums or she comes and the screen shakes annoyed me slightly :lol: , and her denim hipster jeans were a slight annoyance as being out of period by a few 100 years.

Bar those few little things, good work.

If I revise this game I'll consider eliminating or changing the sea battles and sword fight. They're a pain in the posterior to program.

The Novelty program doesn't have a built-in function for the player to toggle only music. There is a way to mute all game sounds (using the Novelty program's scripting language), but that function doesn't work when the game is converted to HTML.
Would that be okay?
If so, I'll check with kexter and see if there is a way he can build that into the conversion process. If it works on Windows, then I'll have to make sure it works on MAC and Linux computers.

My conversion did not work, so I contacted kexter.
His 'simplest solution' was a 'universal' mute/unmute button, which will turn off all in game sounds. It shows on all pages.

EDIT: Updated version of "The Privateer and the Governor's Daughter" (with an 'all sounds' mute/unmute button in the upper left corner) is now available. The link is in the first post.
I will include this feature in new games.
