"Vera Blanc and the Columbia River Mystery" is a Visual Novel (VN).

EDIT: I noted while doing a yahoo search that some 'spoof sites' have this VN listed. Clicking on the link at those spoof sites tells you to download flash player or Java. Your computer probably already has Java and Flash Player on it, and the VN does not require either one. The link I posted here is safe.


This is a fan-made visual novel. The characters Vera Blanc and Brandon Mackey are the property of Winterwolves Games, and have been used with permission.

Join intrepid paranormal detectives (and lovers) Vera Blanc and Brandon Mackey, as they journey to the Pacific Northwest of the USA, to investigate thefts from a casino, only to become involved in a murder, assisting the local Native American police force.
Player choices determine the eventual outcome (and a lot of other, "side-adventures," besides ...)
New mini-games! [And yeah, the good old ones have also been retained].


If you have played any of my previous VNs, you won't be disappointed with this one.
If you are new to them, then this one is a good "starter" VN for you, since it's pretty easy game-wise, and the "guilty perp" is fairly easy to identify early on [lots of clues, y'know? And, like in Ian Fleming's novels, the villains never seem to get over their own egos ...].


This visual novel can be run on Windows, MAC, and Linux systems using any web browser that supports HTML 5. Download the zipped file to any folder on your hard drive, unzip it, the open the index.html file in any web browser that supports HTML 5.

I've noticed that in Vera Blanc games Brandon always has the opportunity to cheat on Vera and have sex with other women, Vera never gets to cheat on him (although she gets to possibly kiss another guy in this one).

Seems unfair.

Seen that the comment was in spoiler I will do the same:

Poor Brandon, all think that only he could cheat (and probably they are in the right)
Seriously I can see Vera cheats if she is influenced by something "natural" or "supernatural", something lesser than a rape (or a situation in which she cannot choose) but more than a glass of vodka.
Usually when Brandon betray is Vera that leaves him, but in this case could be the same girl that could decide to leave because she cannot forgive herself for her actions.
It's up to you to decide if you will do some scenes with Vera and someone (man or woman) that it's not Brandon, but those are the situations in which you can create those scenes without betraying the character.
