Great game! I hoped it was the all out climax of the beach party series but it looks like there will be one more. Part 3 is fantastic

Strange -- if you are not an elite member Puso doesn't even mention the existence of Beach Party 3 as a concept, just that Beach Party 2 is out of beta for elite members. Mind you I've not checked the forums for a while

Yes the biggest challenge in the whole game was to find it...

I still enjoy Pusooy's stuff and cannot fault his artwork and his storylines just about stick to the right side of plausible, but there's very little actual gameplay these days. They are so linear that they're turning into adult cartoon strips with the odd "find the hotspot" thrown in.

I am no developer so please don't beat me up if this simply isn't possible with whatever development app Pusooy's using, but maybe if there were a couple of hotspots on some pages where the story could split? And by "split" I don't just mean one takes you to the next step and the other says "Bad End".

For example:
In this game the scooter races could have lead to different storylines with different endings, depending on which couple quit the race to "relax" on the beach. You'd have to play the game through at least 4 times to follow each couple to their endings and there could be different endings for each couple too. I think the MILF scene could be moved if necessary so it took place before the scooter race without it presenting much of an problem as far as continuity goes. Either that or hold the whole MILF scene over for BP4, seeing as BP3 would be a much longer game. Any historical references in BP4 would assume each couple reached their "good ending" in BP3 - which we would all have seen by the time a new game is released.

I know this is just my opinion but it looks like Shark and ArianeB have been pointing the way by making their games more absorbing and giving the player more things to explore. It would be a pity of Pusooy got left behind because he has a real talent when it comes to telling his stories - and with fewer "Yeh right - Like that would happen" moments than you find even in Shark's material.

Plus encore...

If it's any consolation you're probably not alone. It's a common problem and there doesn't seem to be any enthusiasm for finding a fix for it...

Pretty good, I like what a couple posts up was saying, branching story scenes would be nice, similar to what sharks has done with Rivalries for example.

As someone who almost broke his M&K over Pusooy's earlier games (Mummy Love, Bloodheart & the *ucking apples in Farmer's Daughter), I have to disagree with you. In this specific case - simple is better. IMO.

The game is pretty neat. Graphics are getting better in the Beach Party series. Wish we could somewhat divert from the story a bit (like bad endings like Sharks games), but i guess he would have to create new scenes and what not. Overall, nice game, confusing in 1 part of the game but if you wrap your head around it, you figure it out. Not what i was expecting the story to turn to, though does leave a nice ending open for a Beach Party 4.

But those games were also very linear, meaning the player has no control over what happens next and no matter how many times you play it's always the same. Shark's stories are now branching along different paths, depending on which choices you make.

Being stuck at the *ucking apples is just the equal to the mazes that were routinely thrown into early text-based games when computer memory was 8kb and the designers had to do something to make the game last a couple of hours. In fact, without the bits like the *ucking apples there's hardly any game at all, in many places now you don't even need to "find the hotspots"... BP3 has taken this so far it would be more accurate to call it a story with interactive elements than a game. A game needs an element of skill from the player.
